Carey Payne, new recruits, all the gattos leaving??? ring a bell??
yep sure does...
well whats the gossip then?

This is what i have heard:

coach and club have kissed and made up and money will be determined on how he performs his duties this year (finals and the likes)
Gattos are all said to be happy as is all there big name recruits
The club is having a big go at a bigman from glenelg reserves

Any truth to these rumours
Thats nice that they have kissed and made up....what other big name recruits other than S Gatto? Heard Chris Packham (former div 3 medallist) might be making the move out there, seen him out there???

dont all go round thinkin kilburn are gunna be the king pins this year. 14 of last years side have gone to the jail and
playing at Greenacres with d. ryan and they will have to recruit bout 25 just to be competitive.

thinking someone was taking piss out of the club with the whole 'family club" routine. ha ha

look for a club where players play for their club and not the colour of the notes and look for a club with a great
social atmosphere and you got your premier club. just then chuck in the coach factor and bingo. dont believe that
kilburn will get out of A3, might make top 4 but thats about it. think all the hype is just that.

best social club, best atmosphere, playing for club and not the notes and a super coach - premier Flinders Park

jacko has them flying under radar at moment - watch for September and the Red, blue and yellow

I was of the impression that he had lost interest in footy and now I am hearing Elizabeth and Eastern Park as possibles. Be interesting to see how it unfolds and if he can contribute still....

Mentioned on the div 5 thread that it could be possible that Donnelly and Packham would be likely chances of playing together if packham plays. Which club sounds like the question.

Hey Andy good to see you back on line. Did you borrow someones computer. If you are back on the LSD it comes as no suprise as you can probably source it cheap and easy out your way.
Now lets answer some of your challenges:
1. I have already told you in previous messages of my sources so maybe you need to revisit them to refresh your LSD riddled brain
2. Kilburn has now offered $2000 sign on plus $400 per game to a ruckman that Barossa Districts is also chasing. Maybe if you are starting to feel like a mushroom you should ask Peter Thomas or better still Oconnor himself and get it from the horses mouth
3.Your question re my employment smacks of jealousy but hang in there if you really want a job you might find something or does dolebludging better fit your profile. Im sure that your dig about menial tasks woud go down well at Kilbun
4 Polkinghorne was recruited from Barossa and Gepps Cross before that and was enticed with 2 year offer of captaincy. Unheard of at Amateur Legue level.

Yowser. You've got me. Haven't worn a headband for a while. So who are you?
I haven't played for EFC since 97, but still have close contacts there and love the place.

Must be a good ruckman.

I can officially tell you you are lying. Drop some more names please, very amusing.

Wasn't having a dig at menial tasks, just saying that if your job involves thinking then your employer is as silly as you are.

Please kids the conversation is good, the ridiculing isnt... just a reminder before you start pulling the "yo mama" jokes out..

Unheard of a SAAFL level yes, but I reckon Kilburn are that desperate to get back up to div 2.

it sounds like there is no-one of leadership quality left at the club so it's probably a sensible thing to do.. Re-build from top to bottom.

Good luck to 'em...

Dont know why everyone complains about Kilburn throwing so much money around. I dont think there are too many clubs in Div 3 that would complain if they had the resources that Kilburn have (i.e. poker machines).

At the end of the day, the money earned by the poker machines should go back into the club, whether that be in facilities or in player payments.

No complaints from me.

I really think that Kilburn had to really shake things up a bit- if they had another season like last season with the rumours about the ground making way for the local "super school" and so many players walking out on the club, they would have to be at risk of folding.

I dont think anyone wants to see that (although I might be opening a can of worms with that statement!!!).

I don't understand the problem with this. If Kilburn have nobody else capable of handling the captaincy, why not give it to a bloke who can handle it who's coming in from another club? Chris Judd may still get the Carlton captaincy, and I'm sure people wouldn't say it's a stupid choice. Not comparing Polkinghorne to Judd, just stating the situation is the same.

And after reading the names of those leaving (Wright, Trevillian etc), it doesn't surprise me that Kilburn gave it to Polkinghorne. The completely fresh start is probably what they need after their 2007.

Fair call Pag. I know Polky pretty well and suits that type of role. Will have the support of the players behind him in no time, just that sort of bloke. Not overly skilful but leads by example.

If your gonna start fresh he would be a good bloke to do it.
