My tip for the prelim is Hope Valley after experiencing the weather in Perth this afternoon. This time of the year shows if temps in the mid 20's in SA in early September then there is a pretty good weather front following behind it. If its half as bad as the 1 here it will be slow going Saturday.....

There are 2 days of the year you can guarantee rain in Adelaide.... Anzac day and the first day of the show! ;)

For the first time in my life I actually didn't mean for my car to go sideways around a corner such was the rain and wind. Thank god the boss wasn't in the car with me. Being a paramedic shed read me the riot act...... Being a lad I just did an "oh shit" then just laughed (nervously)....... ;)

according to the SAAFL Footy Budget, the winner of this game goes straight into Division 2.

NEXT WEEK IN THE FINALS - ‘‘A GUIDE TO THE GAMES’’
SENIOR GRADE - The winner of the Preliminary Final automatically progresses to the Grand Final and
will play Brahma Lodge in the decider. The loser of the Preliminary Final is finished for season 2012.
Congratulations to the winner of the Preliminary Final - as you are now also in Division 2, for 2013.

Payneham are opening themselves for applications to a new coach, but if no one is the right fit (which i doubt someone will be found) then I am lead to believe that Macca will coach again next year, so I wouldn't think HV is an option.

Macca's name gets linked with Hope Valley every year from a wide range of sources.

However, Charlie Wintle is the current senior coach of the HVFC and the committee will make a decision on 2013 once the season concludes and we sit down with him to discuss next year. We have done this every year for the 6 years Charlie has been coaching us.

Fingers crossed, that whoever coaches us next year will be coaching a Div 4 side.

On a side note, good luck to the U16's in their Grand final against Salisbury @ Argana Park 2.00pm Sunday. Another crop of exciting kids coming through the ranks to add to all the youngsters that played A's and B's this year. Go Demons!!

Macca has said he'll leave PNU if they don't make the GF. Let's wait and see what happens at SMOSH tomorrow.
