We only see each team twice a year, I dont know how you can all have a valid opinon to be honest..

Millar is your best, other good players include Rhodes and Wilkinson (when he's knee isn't popping out). Lehman is a handy bigman.

There are other ways to study the form of players aside from seeing them play twice a year.

CLG's Peter Apostolopoulos and the Lockley's ruckman (Hall? - the one with the big nose) have played well against Clint Dow. O'Hara tapped well against him second time around.

S Demon wrote:As for the Team of the Year - Dow in the ruck, Loffler in defence, Harvey up forward? Do you think it will be back pockets in the back pocket, or players that have had a good year put in the team, not necassarily in their position?

I'd like to see some of these midfield receivers who rack up touches then playing in the back pocket on a good forward. They'd melt

Although you probably have a point, I'm sure it wouldn't matter if you used a back pocket to put a player who has had a good season on a back flank or in the midfield.[/quote]

agree...midfielders can rack up 30 touches and get BOGs even if their opponent gets plenty of the ball

Yeah you are not too far off there, maybe missing a few but then like i said you dont see each team every week.

How else can you study form? Read the paper and cut names out!!???

The paper isn't necessarily a good indication. Having a chat with opposition players or coaches is always informative.

No. With the players they have they should be top, as they are.

demonseye wrote:Yep Quichey should be there. I know Starr is a very good player but i have seen him 3 times this year and he hasnt won me over for this year.

In the first round (against WC), and as was the case for the early part of the season, Starr didn't play up much forward. But he eventually got put at CHF and after a couple of games to back in the zone he has only got better. He had a solid game in Round 10 at WC kicking four goals and was the match winner in Round 12 against Hope Valley kicking seven. You're hard to impress

He has won our last three games at home off his own boot (7, 7, 11). As good a forward as any in this Div.

Fair enough you have won me over, i will try and squeeze him on the bench
Pretty sure he played up forward in round1 and was dragged for a one on one discussion with cabbage. Then went back up forward.

I think Westminster just over Lockleys. Lockleys is more of a natural improvement with their young side.
