I don't know you, or your story dee man but as an old scholar at Trinity, I read your report on the match with interest.
If you're going to leave this site because people don't agree with your perspective on this match, that would be disappointing and a little bit precious on your behalf.
Believe me, when you have the courage to put your opinion out there, whatever that may be, some people are going to disagree.

Interesting to see west croydon makignt heir presence known on the far side. Few Hawks boy having a bit of a laugh at the l0ckleys expense at 3/4 time made for some entertainment![/quote]

Not sure about making our presence known turbo182, it wasn't intended?
West Croydon ppl sat on the outer wing and watched the game quietly and sure as hell never made any comments or laughed and joked at ANYONE. That would be just plain dumb.
We did what any other club would do, take the oppertunity to watch out future opponents for the coming week and I thought ALL the West Croydon ppl behaved appropriately.
What happened at 3/4 time? I was on the oval going between both huddles and didn't see or hear anything from our players or supporters? After the game we cleaned up after ourselves and left the oval without fuss.
Did I miss something or am I over re-acting???

I was over on the same side as the WC boys organising a "mini-league" game for 1/2 time and from what I observed they behaved extremely well. We even had SMOSH-West Lakes U16's do the same thing Sunday for the Lockleys- North Haven game for 2nd spot.

Mitchell Park

Who coaches Mitchell Park? Does he expect to be there next year?

I hear that they have spoken to a couple of other people from the SFL

Not at all mate, no malice in my comments - THe WC boys were merely there in very impressive numbers, all in club kit. at the 3/4 time huddle a few of the WC boys were taking the piss out of the lockleys runner, who was going troppo about nothing. They didn't need to say much, he did most of it for them!

Thanks for that turbo. We are trying our butts of at WC to change how ppl have seen us in the past , i was a little worried i may have missed something. Lol
I didn't hear the spray he gave but was told it was better than any the WC coach gives!

BK - good on ya for doing that. Always a challenge to change perceptions.
Those who desire to do so can make a big difference.
Slightly off topic but I had a massive chuckle at the WAFC v CDFC match at Berri a couple of years ago when I heard a person slagging off feral people from Elizabeth. I was standing reasonably closely with my non-feral family and turned in astonishment at such a comment to see a whole family of people wearing West Croydon tops making further generalised comments. Given I'd heard some not so flattering stories about the club in the past, I had quite a giggle at the time. I may even have returned serve ;)

I hear that they have spoken to a couple of other people from the SFL
I am no longer on the committee but my understanding is that Mitchell Park are going through the standard annual review that we do every year and part of that process is advertising for our 2011 Senior Coach.

Colin Watkins has done an excellent job in 2010, despite the scoreboard results, and would be a very, very good chance to get reappointed I would have thought - but that is a personal opinion.

As for speaking to SFL people - there has yet to be a coaching panel formed so any conversations taking place would be very informal I would have thought.

for those that actually wrote and texted privately, thanks but it is a shame you dont want to go public,i do understand the couple from lockleys tho.
so far publicly no one has backed my call of the game so if that stays the same for the next couple of days i will do everyone a favour and never comment on these sights or the budget ever again.

Be interesting to see who will take out the reserves medal too. Pearce from Henley was pretty impressive when i've seen him. Guess we'll see, that's if I make it out of the West Thebbie in time??
