At least someone else is having a crack at it :D

Not sure about back pockets. One would be a small, nuggety player. The other would have to have some versatility. Both would have to be disciplined defenders, but creative. Unfortunately being to the opposite end of them it's hard to notice the other teams' non-key positional defenders. Randell has been playing well, he could get a look in, as could Chris Lambos for that same spot.

One lad West Croydon have is Luke Francis, generally plays down back and provides rebound with his pace but sometimes kicking lets him down. Has done tagging roles before too i used him on Warburton earlier in the year. Westminster won by 12-13 goals without him having any effect on the game and he ended up on the bench in the last quarter.

NO WAY!!! The top three still isn't settled and winning or losing in the last 3 games could be the difference between a double chance or a home final. It's full steam ahead, with one team left standing at the end of it all...

As for the Team of the Year - Dow in the ruck, Loffler in defence, Harvey up forward? Do you think it will be back pockets in the back pocket, or players that have had a good year put in the team, not necassarily in their position?

Now that the top five is settled, anyone on here that has voted for one of the teams who won't be playing in the finals should maybe look at changing their vote....

Thats part of why i asked. If it is back pockets in the back pocket Loffler wont be in defence. Did he play in the back half last time SD? No direspect to the back pockets but i cant think of any that stand out.

I'll be seeing your new boys this weekend for a close up look. Wanna get a close look at this B-grade juggernaut, because I have $50 bucks on the line with an Valley player from last year on who's B's will finish higher.

May i ask who the player is?

In the backlines you would have to have Quichey in there, has had a solid year in the backlines, standing one of the best forwards every week and his stats say he is doing his job every week, Dow for ruck, maybe early he might only be the 2nd ruckman the way he is playing at the moment......... Starr would be a definate and u would think one of the Hanns would eb a chance

Of course you can mate. Lalic. Think Nation only got him out to your club last year. Shame he couldn't get himself up to play for you boys this year, cos he's a good player, but doesn't look like you miss him.

Think the Hoff from HVFC has had a great year in defence...he could slot nicely into a back pocket, or across half back!!
I'm proud of you fellas. You all kept your head on a swivel, and that's what you gotta do when you find yourself in a vicious cock fight!

Gefugged Rexy, I hate playing defence :? :D

In the first round (against WC), and as was the case for the early part of the season, Starr didn't play up much forward. But he eventually got put at CHF and after a couple of games to back in the zone he has only got better. He had a solid game in Round 10 at WC kicking four goals and was the match winner in Round 12 against Hope Valley kicking seven. You're hard to impress

He has won our last three games at home off his own boot (7, 7, 11). As good a forward as any in this Div.

The footy budget is doing one for every Div (you just let slip that you don't read it, shame, shame)

We are just doing it because we think we're experts on the matter

I'd like to see some of these midfield receivers who rack up touches then playing in the back pocket on a good forward. They'd melt

Although you probably have a point, I'm sure it wouldn't matter if you used a back pocket to put a player who has had a good season on a back flank or in the midfield.
