I said to BFG yesterday that because they're playing away they'll probably win. Which now means they''ll never buy a home final again

went to lockleys today and must admit for the first time that i can remeber at a game in along time was disgusted, embarrassed and shamed on what i saw
very few people at todays one sided game will have the guts to say and call it what it was and how it happened
to do that we all know that they will be howled down and called an angry over bearing supporter who knows nothing about the game
but today put football in div 6 back years
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

So dee man do you have the guts to say and call it.........? Given the margin, surely you are not suggesting LFC were hard done by?

i have watched closely this year as the dees have put another solid season together.these lads have grown, matured and become talented young men.they have good skills and to be honest play an exciting style when it comes to home and away football.but thats where it ends.for three years i have said the style they play wont win finals.someone compared them to or as the new clg.the difference is that the lions problems where not the way they were coached or treated or even their mental toughness but their game plan, like the dees was flawed for finals footy.they have worked on that and had a good result.i also never saw them actually throw the towel in.the dees yesterday were a rabble.the style will not win finals.they refuse to use the corridor and refuse to aggresively attack the body of the opposition.the fault is clearly the way they are treated and looked after.the coaching style and panel have no b game plan and after yesterday i doubt they have much of an a plan either.but to loose to a better team is one thing.to surrender and basically bent over and caned from behind on your own home ground is an absolute disgrace.they disrespected the jumper, the club and the supporters of this great club and to put it bluntley their is no one to blame but the coach and the style.on top of that to call them an embarrasement and disgrace at three quarter time and send them out with the thought that if they showed nothing in the last quarter they might as well not turn up next week would have lost alot of players.their is only two disgraces out of yesterday and that is the coach, his style and his over protecting of what he believes are kids but are now men,and the club for constantly making the same mistakes in appointment.demons, next week you take on a lions out fit that are roaring and confident, bring the attitude and game style of yesterday and you might as well come to bunnings with me cause i will never watch the crap you put up yesterday

deeman you do nothing but criticise and slag off john corbett every chance you get.coaches responsibility is more about preparing the side mentally and physically for finals pressure and if the players dont perform then they need to have a look at themselves as john would do of himself. someone so critical as yourself, perhaps you would have had better results as a coach if you followed your own advice. if lockleys dont succeed then im sure that the club will review everything and if john is not the right person then so be it. he has had 4 years to develope the group and now is the time for this A grade side to stand up for themselves and their coach. good luck boys i hope you turn it around.

have actually been supportive of john through the season which is well documented in my writings both here and in the budget.you are correct about the role of the coach and preperation of the players but for anyone their they would have to agree with what i said as per the pm i have recieved.as for your shot at me and my coaching ability im not disagreeing with what you say about my approach and the way i went about my job.my record was and probably never will be as good as your own or johns for that matter, thats why i dont have a job now i suppose, but i was and still am proud of what little i did achieve.we all have our own styles and methods which suit some but not others but when you are the head guy you put yourself out their to take the praise and the baggings, just like i have in the past

First game of div 6 footy I've seen on saturday.

Wow. Lockleys were horrible. Cna't really comment on their expectations/form, but they were nothign short of Sh!thouse. Decision making was absolutely woeful. Most of them looked like they'd never played the game before apart from #5 and #14. Apparently Lockleys best player wasn't playing...He's wanna be wayne carey the way they played yesterday!

Trinity were a reasonable side, who had ALL the luck. Not umpiring (which was pretty reasonable, if nt a little whistle happy), but the ball just seemed to fall their way. They had good run out of their backlines and got the ball in quickly, which is always important on a small ground. Not great footballers, but well coached I thought, and disciplined with regards to a simple but effective gameplan. Thoroughly deserved the win. Interesting to see west croydon makignt heir presence known on the far side. Few Hawks boy having a bit of a laugh at the l0ckleys expense at 3/4 time made for some entertainment!
