I would think the DIV 3 first semi Seaton v PNU might get that game next week due to the Crows playing Saturday arvo. Not sure how thrilled the Ramblers would be if this eventuates but its seems a possible if not likely scenario

Would think that with both of TTG's 2 and 2 reserves playing second semi finals that they'd be at Thebarton next week.

I'd put money on TTG @ The Barton and Seaton having a home final despite the Crows game.
Seaton have given away 2 home games this year chasing the $$$$$$ and I heard the players dont want to give this one away.

Good question- Campbelltown too far from Kenilworth. Will Plympton put in for a nuetral final?

So Luthies expose a bit of an achillies heel!!! May be a mental down fall in the back of their heads. Luthies should be made to play their sh!t hole oval this week. After all they finished top and deserve a home final! The kooks will be paying it pisses down all week!

Oh well we have to put up with the state of the oval whether we like it or not. Be interesting to see where Lutheran will play if they dont host the semi finals and can't play at Thebarton.

On a side note, had a laugh when before the game everybody was ready to go and one of the umpires came up to our assistant coach and asked what time we start- mustn't of umpired too many 12.15 games before.

They were ok though I thought, they were pretty hot on little free kicks like high, in the back which were there but usually those sort of ones are not called in the B grade and are most often play on. They seemed to let players diving on the ball go for the majority of the game.

Last few years have seen the early finals I've been involved in (albeit at lower levels on sundays) start at 12 with the late game starting at 2.30. We had a similar thing happen at Uni Oval yesterday with both timekeepers thinking it began at 12 and the umpires thinking 12.15.

Aha, cheers Finn I was unaware that happening although I would expect the umpires to know what time a game starts, especially when everybodys all suited up ready to go.

I noticed this also...i was paid a couple of free kicks which i gladly took but didnt even really know what they were for until the umpire said the player was holding and high. I also noticed and maybe it was because of the wet slippery ball that they let alot of diving on the ball go. So quite interesting that two people from different games noticed the same thing

Forgot about holding, they were pretty hot on that too.

Quite interesting indeed, guess it shows just how much our club umpires let all the little things go.

Kenilworth have nothing to lose next weekend and everything to gain. Seen some pics of the elim final and I feel sorry Schultzys washing machine. Ground was an absolute peach for slow moving diesel engines like myself ;)

Not sure Luthies tick all the boxes? I know in the C grade Qualifying Final last year, we got given the opportunity to host it even though we finished 3rd and Luthies finished 2nd. I reckon it will be at a neutral gound

reckon u r right. Facilities at Lutheran are horrible. Would not tick many of the above boxes. As a spectator I will be staying away if it is played there. Surely the league will make this a neutral venue game. IMO.

If its good enough to play a minor round game then it is good enough to host a home final - not all clubs can have the quality facilities such as North Haven
I do know that the lights work in the Luthy visitors rooms though ;)

Shame it doesn't cost the same as a minor round game. Maybe the rules should be changed to:

A Member Club that is the highest ranked team in its Division may apply to host a home final or a final on an available neutral oval of their choice, excluding a Grand Final, but must fulfil The League‟s minimum requirements including but not limited to:

Shit, I must be doing the wrong thing then, they're the free's that I look out for, they are the ones that cause injuries & I like to let the player going for the ball the most a bit of leniency not the softy that waits back and then jumps on top of the ball getter.
