Seaton have given away 2 home games this year chasing the $$$$$$ and I heard the players dont want to give this one away.

TTG paying $1.00 to be at Thebarton
Seaton paying $101 to be at Thebarton

Oh well we have to put up with the state of the oval whether we like it or not. Be interesting to see where Lutheran will play if they dont host the semi finals and can't play at Thebarton.
On a side note, had a laugh when before the game everybody was ready to go and one of the umpires came up to our assistant coach and asked what time we start- mustn't of umpired too many 12.15 games before.
They were ok though I thought, they were pretty hot on little free kicks like high, in the back which were there but usually those sort of ones are not called in the B grade and are most often play on. They seemed to let players diving on the ball go for the majority of the game.
Last few years have seen the early finals I've been involved in (albeit at lower levels on sundays) start at 12 with the late game starting at 2.30. We had a similar thing happen at Uni Oval yesterday with both timekeepers thinking it began at 12 and the umpires thinking 12.15.

I noticed this also...i was paid a couple of free kicks which i gladly took but didnt even really know what they were for until the umpire said the player was holding and high. I also noticed and maybe it was because of the wet slippery ball that they let alot of diving on the ball go. So quite interesting that two people from different games noticed the same thing

2. the change rooms must have reasonable facilities for players, umpires and trainers.
3. there must be reasonable facilities provided for spectators
4. must fulfil The League‟s obligations to its major sponsors
(a) Club must be sponsored by SABC
(b) venue must exclusively supply SABC beers for that event
Not sure Luthies tick all the boxes? I know in the C grade Qualifying Final last year, we got given the opportunity to host it even though we finished 3rd and Luthies finished 2nd. I reckon it will be at a neutral gound
reckon u r right. Facilities at Lutheran are horrible. Would not tick many of the above boxes. As a spectator I will be staying away if it is played there. Surely the league will make this a neutral venue game. IMO.
If its good enough to play a minor round game then it is good enough to host a home final - not all clubs can have the quality facilities such as North Haven
I do know that the lights work in the Luthy visitors rooms though
