Would have been nothing compared to Houghton's oval. I haven't played in rain that heavy for a loooong time. The last time the oval got that muddy was back in 2005 in the QF against West Croydon!

Why so long??

Don't worry Stroker, there's only 92 days til The Hawks start pre-season! :)

Shouldn't this be on Div 5 forum?

We are still in Div 6 atm, plus there's 4 other clubs who are going to try to keep it that way :)

I hope your boys dont look to their coach for lessons in discipline, fancy getting sent off in a masters game. [-X At least you redeemed yourself with that match winning supergoal from 30 out, or was it 50 out?

Just on that, I heard a rumor that West Croydon might not be financial enough to come up if they win the flag or finish runners up. I didn't really believe it, but is there any truth to it??

So what is 'financial enough'? Do you mean to pay players???
We pay our bills and have money in the bank so i'm a little perplexed with this rumour as only about 6 people would have any idea where the club is at financially.
We don't pay players now and we won't next year which ever grade we are in, it ruins clubs and attracts the wrong sort of people. Play for your mates and the WC guernsey or p#ss off i say!
Just my thoughts...and proud that our club share the same.

It costs more money as you go up in each division to field teams.

I wasn't referring to paying players or anything to do with that. It's about the money spent to field sides, pay bills and stuff like that. It's just a rumor anyway and I wanted to know if there was anything to it. I guess not.

Given a few stories, I would suggest it was a pig pen he was in rather then a paddock.

Mickan will get some roughing up in the finals, particualrly from WC. Interesting to see how he repsonds.

From the mouth of probably the best amateur league full forward I have seen grace the field, Robert Jackamara after he kicked his 3rd bag of 100 goals 3 years in a row and copping some pretty severe attention.

"Its my job to kick goals, its their job to do what ever they can to stop me"

I'm pretty sure Mickan will recieve some attention come finals time, other teams would be stupid not to try and put him off his game.....is he up to it??? I'm not sure as I've only seen him play once this season and that was to a pretty poor opposition on Saturday in Ingle Farm.

But it look's to me like LFC have a little more fire power up forward for a team to concentrate on trying to take just one player off of his game.....IMO....
