Now, now FS, I think there are a few clubs that were taken back by his side, I'm sure he'll be back with you guys one day, give the lad a chance, he probably needed to grow up a bit and get away from his comfort zone.

He was still pretty servicable for you guys.

No sorry that wasnt having a go at the big fella... Im saying is he hasnt proven anything at a higher level and the clubs that look to pay players more than what GG pay are in the higher divs or in the country. He was servicable but not great and probably would have struggled to play 1's at Modbury unless he was super fit which might not happen this century

But i most definately was told by a friend of his that he was leaving due to needing additional cash!

I thought he'd already be on that.. That is a good incentive...

Have no reason to believe shane will be leaving.
I am under the impression, as im sure everyone else is that he enjoys the club and the people immensley. Lots of guys around his age who work hard super at their footy and party hard as well.

Looking forward to having the big fella out of the goal square again next year with the support from Chad Parrish who is strongly rumoured to be returning after a year away in Pirie.

Did he go in the ruck at all during the year, or FS, did he ruck during his time at Modbury?

How old is he?

I'm sure the coach will have a fair say into whether he stays or not....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

This was case also at Modbury though. He was up the club drinking every night pretty much and last to leave saturday night

Chad has rooted ankles/groins he has also given up cricket due to this i believe. But would be very handy if he does come back

He played in Pirie this year to see of a mate who had one last season coaching. Believe he was sick of the travel by the end of it and ended up training with us at the end of the year. Was on the blower to the lads come final siren time and very excited.

Well known his body is not its best but hopefully without a cricket season, a full preseason under our master trainer will have him up and going.

Forward line of Scudds, Parrish, Ravlich, Simmons & Hoklas with Todd Shepphard (fingers crossed) and Jimmy K changing in and out looks ominous already.

Whats more exciting is that the young lads realise we have a potentially very special group and are looking forward to preseason already. Once the headaches fade away of course

I'm still getting over the fact that you couldn't find room for me, I played 6 minutes in the B's for the year, 2 kicks, 1 handball and a tackle, pfft
