ah lets get over it....and get back to the footy!! Be a massive game this week PHOS vs Port D. PHOS coming off a loss in the wet
and Port have an extra few days break. Tough task for PHOSies but a massive game for them not to be drawn back into the pack.

yes should be a good game, i'll be there to watch.
I think districts will just win, could be a mud heap if the rain keeps coming.

Think you'll find most Div 1 & Div 2 clubs would be pushing the salary cap (except for maybe clubs like uni). $35K for the season is around $1950 / match to put the team on the park. Distributed amongst 21 players, thats around $90 each per match. Some players might only be on $50, some maybe a couple hundreed, plus extras such as free uniforms, rego fees, drink and meal cards etc.

Compared to the money thrown around in the country leagues, $90 a game isn't much. SANFL reserves is even less something like $75/match plus a boot allowance.

C'mon people...........please !!!!!

Slapper that is another stupid comment and assesment of a succesfull amateur club which is brought upon by a brilliant junior program , local talent and fantastic football director .

you really are in the " city of angels "

Hafey, pull your head in. Succesfull.....yeah right !
1 ( one ) Div1 Premiership since 1911 when the league was formed... now that's what i call success.
Oh sorry, your under 6's have won plenty and so have your u/13's.........good stuff Hafey, your on the money again !
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

SANFL 2's get a standard amount of $50 less income tax... In some cases would only just cover petrol money!!

Just because the is a salary cap, dosnt mean clubs abide by them, it is merely on what is declared within the salary cap.

Yeah, I know and there are some fairly average players getting good money!! Would be interesting to see what players are on, I think a lot of guys could get quite a bit more if other clubs knew what they were currently on. Heard of some Div 3 clubs paying their players significantly more than Div 1 clubs!

Unless you're part of the inner sanctum of a footy club you'll never know what salaries are paid to high profile players, unless of course the high profile player(s) like to boast what he/they are getting.

As with player salaries it is all just rumours some do get paid a lot more but that is the decision of the football club committee and hopefully that decision is the right one. Sometimes these decisions are good and sometimes they are not but hey that's footy.

Full marks to Modbury, played a great game! Seaton's new ruck recruit Wilkins is very impressive, plays a similar game to Kenny Tyrrell who played with Goodwood last year now with Norwood. Smashed Modbury's ruckman this week and taking care of Baggot from Port Districts last week. You'd think if he was keen, could be a good asset to a SANFL team.

Thanks luv ta, we weren't going to let a GF replay get away too easily. By far the best game we have played, considering we only had half a premiership side playing..

Start, I didn't make a point? :?: Was Shaz was your intended repliee? - You will find that 'most' SANFL clubs follow their cap nearly religiously the same clearly can't be said for Amateur's and Country sides...

Willie is going great guns, good kid too, he's a 3rd or 4th generation Williams playing at the club, so a bit of history there too.

Macca's "career ending calf" was a false alarm and he played on the weekend.
