Did you stack the C's this week Tony or did you pull some superstars out from under the carpet? ;)

Just had a bunch of our good players available all at the same time for a change!

Oh, and had one soccer guy in who can only play sometimes and is a GUN.

Couple of B's doubled up too but was a decent effort from our lads. Umpires arguing with each other was amusing.

A & B Grade won and C grade lost, didn't do a very good job if they stacked the C's and it didn't seem to effect the other grades.

Congratulations and good luck today to Hoa Nguyen - playing his 175th game and attaining player life membership for CBCOC. Top effort from a top bloke!

Positive comment on the Wingfield Royals vs. Eastern Park game on the weekend. Both the WFC players & umpire were great IMO. Vast improvement by the WFC players from the first round and played some very good footy. The WFC umpire was very chatty, paid frees as he saw them and obviously is a bit of a character running around with his powerade? in the pocket of his rather long shorts!

ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS ON WHEN OUR FINALS MIGHT BE???? The SAAFL handbook says they can be Saturday or Sunday in the first two weeks and i also assume they can be at any time. Last final our Cs played in 2009 was at 10am on a Sunday at Eastern Park :o

The Wingfield umpire was absolutely brilliant on the weekend, hands down the best umpire I've seen all season over all grades. Wasnt the fittest, but his communication was 2nd to none, and handled himself with great integrity and dealt with issues that arose extremely well.

And did have a giggle at him running around with the Powerade sitting in the pocket of the long shorts

Well said PG, echoes my thoughts exactly from last Monday's post after we played against Wingies.

Congrats to Matty 'Junkyard' Kromwyk playing his 250th this Saturday for CBCOC - close to 14 years of footy is a great effort!

If Klompy wins the Association medal i will paint the Payneham coach the great man Martin Hamilton-Smith in chocolate body paint and eat it off  . You never know with umpires but Beady will win our B and F quite comfortably to go with his 2009 C grade B and F 8) .
As for Javor. If they gave out trophys for assists he would have locked that baby up by round 8. Supposedly credits himself with 268 score assists this season. He breaks them down into 3 categories a) disposal assist b) verbal assist and c) emotional assist

Eastern Park:
1. Ben Smith
2. Jarrod Bayadi
3. Troy McDonald
4. Brad Banks
5. Corey Noble

As for PNU's TJ he was his normal very humble after the EPFC vs PNU game (well done by the PNU's boys, definitely wanted the win more) he thanked the umpires and said if we were having a hard time picking best players then just turned around to remind us of his number (25 I think) Sorry mate - no cigar!
