Fair enough, i actually though ML was pretty good when we last played them. I really hope we can win by that we need the % to stay on top.

We had 11 out in the C grade this week, add a couple more from the D grade and you're pretty close to 3/4 of the team being out this week.

It would get tough for your 5th side when this happens, with all of your top 4 grades in the finals and with the extra players on the bench for each of those grades it may sting for you guys come finals do you think?

It might hurt them, but that's really only 4 players overall. I would say that throughout the year we have been missing more than 4 players in the club each week due to injury etc. So on that basis, the extension of the bench in the higher grades doesn't have a great effect. Come finals time everyone is available for selection so if anything I'd predict the E grade will be better off

It seems injuries and unavailability have really effected both SHOC and PAOC in the second half of the year, would be tough trying to settle the team heading into finals though. Here is my predictions for the final three rounds

Mawson Lakes d SMOSH West Lakes
PAOC d Broadview
Mitcham d Gepps Cross (Forfiet)
Golden Grove d Sacred Heart
Flinders Park d Salisbury

Golden Grove d PAOC
Flinders Park d Mawson Lakes
Broadview d Mitcham
SMOSH West Lakes d Salisbury
Sacred Heart d Gepps Cross (Forfiet)

Was a good win for Mawson Lakes on the weekend in what was the only highlight of our triple header visit to SHOC. The MLFC 'C' grade has exceeded all expectations this season and should now compete in the Major Round. Debutant Coach Tony Kowtun should take a lot of the credit for this, as his side too has been decimated during the season to injuries and the higher grades pinching his team.

Deffinatly a great effort for first up coach, is it your first year of having a C grade too? The comp is pretty tight around that 4, 5, 6 and 7 mark which makes the effort to get up there even better. Well done.

Would it be possible that you make Flinders Parks one of the two for us? ;)

I think that you should beat SMOSH but not sure you will beat FP and ML though. The fight for the 5th spot is tight and really interested to see who can get there. Honestly I think that it may stay as it is but you never can really tell in this grade with all the ins and outs.

What do you want him to say? That they will lose all three and are no chance of making the 5? I think that they are a good chance against SMOSH and possibly ML, cant see them getting over FP. Would winning 2 off the 3 get you in the 5 RM?

My mail out of SMOSH West Lakes is that they are hitting their straps at the right time of the year and might sneak into finals and shake things up. Mawson Lakes are looking stronger and stronger by the week going by results and Flinders Park well are Flinders Park. It is most likely that they will win none or one of their final games.

Yep, our first year of having a C grade, so we're very happy with the players and coaches efforts at this stage. But as mentioned on here, apart from probably the Top 2 it is a tight comp, and the lads still have some hard work in front of them to qualify for the major round.

Probably not, I think PAOC have Mitcham to come, % better than us and a game infront. Still won't stop us trying!

I think they should beat Salisbury this week, we are confident that we will get the job done over PAC especially with their recent form slump so that would see them even on points going into the last game, PAC have Mitcham and SMOSH have FP. Both need to win these games. Not saying that SMOSH would have beaten SHPC but had they been able to play that extra game instead of the bye earlier in the year they may have got in? Have the SAAFL decided what should happen here yet? I would have thought that the only fair result would be to put the games down as 2 forfeits for SHOC, giving the points to SMOSH and Salisbury and the loss to SHOC, wont hurt SHOC at all and would put SMOSH and Salisbury on a level playing field. This would see both sides equal on points with PAC which IMO is the only fair way to do it.

The only fair way to do it is to go by the results in the second half of the season. It would be unfair to PAC to give smosh and Salisbury the win seeing seeing all 3 teams didn't win against them

On that basis you are giving two extra wins to SHOC because they won later in the year and it is unfair on ML who have worked their way into third and a double chance. I dont think that you should penalise SMOSH and Salisbury because SHOC didnt have a side until three weeks in, why reward them with a win for coming in late? Trust me, come finals most of the guys at GG would rather see SMOSH out of the five than in it but IMO the fact that they didnt get the chance to beat SHOC the first time round was not thier fault. SMOSH were not in the worst of form in the start of the season so who is to say that SHOC would have won just because they did the second time around. I think treating the two games as SHOC forfeits is the only fair way to do it. If it is unfair to PAC then bad luck, they actually had the chance to play SHOC twice and actually lost.
