All at HV wish him a speedy recovery and hope he is fit and firing for season 2011

Very sad news. A good young kid just starting to find his feet in A grade footy. No doubt he will return and play many more A grade games for HVFC.

Seriously, he is having LARS ? It costs a fortune, and i thought someone as young as 18 would be better suited to a conventional reco.

Im led to believe that conventional recos are still much better long term, and if you are are still young then it is the better way to go.

Either way, i wish the young lad all the best.

If House wins the medal I'll eat his stinky socks  ;)

He's been nominated by the doc as a candidate even though he's only 18 because he's stopped growing ..

I nearly died when I got told - he passed all the strength and mobility tests on the day and was walking no problems, just a little pain medially, hell - he RAN off the field unassisted and wanted to go back on

Luckily I told him to get it checked out just in case

One of my friends tore his ACL in my first season at BL and was the same...come off...did some test and strapped it and out he went again and played until the end of the game...bit of discomfort but he was back at the club that night. It wasnt until he got some tests done that he found out it was torn.

All the best to the kid though...no one wants to see someone hurt in such a way and as an 18 year old at that!

Wow, didnt see that margin coming. Thought Heccies would win, but not by over 100 points.

Heccies travelling nicely, sliding under the radar as they would like to.

i think HV are more under the radar than us. i have barely noticed them winning :? heccies still have Brahma, HV and Plympton to play. Good to see steed verrall back yesterday as well.

we still have them to play aswell and bos this week, going to be a tough month of footy for the top sides atm

We had our "Away" game 2 weeks ago, so won't have to go to St Doms this year, good on Sprinter for choosing NOT to switch the game back ;)

Oh btw, "sans" is about the only latin I know besides Veni, vidi, vici

On another note the standard of the umpiring during the A grade was a disgrace. To see an umpire cheat like one did is a joke, he must have had a connection to North Haven as he was even giving high fives to their players and giving free kicks to them when not in control of play. On the half time siren a mark was taken by a Haven player on the 50m, the siren sounded and we all said he would come down and give a 25m penalty, the lodge player marked the spot then stayed behind it (we watched to make sure) the player then kicked into the man on the mark and yes you guessed it, whistle and 25m was given.
This is not North Havens fault but i hope for the sake of other clubs he doesn`t umpire any of their games from now on.

Ok Number 1. The umpire involved has NO connection to our football club what so ever, we have never seen him before. 2, there was NO high fives given to the umpire by us. And 3, to acuse the umpire of giving us free kicks when not in control of the play is an interesting call. You have it wrong there, sorry mate.

That decision was carp, an absolute coach killer. All the players on both teams at that moment were confused as each other about that one
