Wow, didnt see that margin coming. Thought Heccies would win, but not by over 100 points.

Heccies travelling nicely, sliding under the radar as they would like to.

Under the radar indeed. Yeah kicking 8 goals in the first and then 6 each in the other 3 and ending up with 26 is pretty quiet isn't it?

You knew what I meant. No-one has been talking about them in regards to their chances this year. Close loss to Elizabeth the only downer, other than that have been more than solid.

Well done to the Brahma Lodge fc yesterday on 3 good victories, the first time it has happened for several years so congrats to the C grade on their first win =D>
On another note the standard of the umpiring during the A grade was a disgrace. To see an umpire cheat like one did is a joke, he must have had a connection to North Haven as he was even giving high fives to their players and giving free kicks to them when not in control of play. On the half time siren a mark was taken by a Haven player on the 50m, the siren sounded and we all said he would come down and give a 25m penalty, the lodge player marked the spot then stayed behind it (we watched to make sure) the player then kicked into the man on the mark and yes you guessed it, whistle and 25m was given.
This is not North Havens fault but i hope for the sake of other clubs he doesn`t umpire any of their games from now on.

There was obviously a link back to NH because he didnt umpire in their forward line during the day except for that one decision to give a 25m penalty.

In the end it didnt matter so time to look forward to the coming weekend.

Futhermore if you think every other side has the same lack of credibility to accept points you CLEARLY dont deserve you are mistaken. Aussie Rules Footy (particularly at amateur level) is about team spirit, courage, and mateship. Not about sharking points on a clerical error and then defending the SAAFL for handing them to you. As you would know most roles around a footy club are filled with volunteers and if they should be responsible for losing points for a simple clerical error then why would you do it..... We'll see how it pans out anyway I suppose but looking forward to the return bout sooooooo much more.

So where was your spirit and mateship, when you jumped ship and went to Elizabeth??

Not that I need to explain to a knob like you but I returned to a club where I played junior footy and my first senior game to play with and under old team mates. And left on great terms with EP after no longer having the committment to play div 2. It makes you look very stupid when you make a comment about something you know very little (nothing) about....

Just the kind of mature response I expected. Hook, line and sinker...

I'd love to say that the scoreline didn't reflect the match but I'd be lying. Heccies came out far more mentally prepared and blew us out of the water before we could even raise a whimper. They hit harder, ran harder and in numbers and we just never looked to be in the hunt.
One umpire gave us nothing all day and we had 3 late pull-outs at around 11am on the Saturday, they were the only things that we could look at for any excuses on such a poor performance, hardly worth the 100+ point schlacking though.
Heccies played their ground superbly, they took the correct avenues and made us look second rate, they hit their targets, and applied immense pressure on the ball carrier all day which caaused turn-overs.
I guess we'll just re-group, assess the areas that we failed in on the weekend and try to bounce back in the local derby at home this week.
On a happier note, at least our B's were competitve this week and put up a good fight against Heccies, it was an entertaining game which went down to the wire.
Well done Hectorville, put on a good display of footy, beautiful day for it, their crowd was excellent, they could've given us a real serve flogging us the way they did, they were more interested in supporting their own team though.

All predictions about Plympton look a fair way off the mark at this point.
i think that the players think they are better than they are and untill they decide to play some team footy they will continue to lose games that they shouldn't.

OK they have some key players missing but still have the makings of a good team and should be doing a lot better.

They should be 4 & 1 actually are 3 & 2 realistically should be 2 & 3

I hope things turn around soon as all does not seem well at the kennel at the moment!

Yeah its interesting isnt it, not sure what the answer is, they have key players out but we have a b grade team that hasn't lost a game for a while and therefore should be able to reasonably cover any injuries or player losses.

Maybe the boys have got a few tickets on themselves at the moment. They've got a few flashy players, but haven't got the mongrel in them that they have had in years gone. I didnt see the game on saturday so can't comment on exactly what happened.

Jimmy is back next week i believe, but if they are waiting for him to be some sort of saviour we may see a few more losses!

it was a tight game Jabber. i think we were just able to hassle your lads better in the second half. smith out doesn't help, brincat looks forward to that contest.
we took more chances when we had the ball i think and our lads ran their guts out all day.
we may have just started to turn the corner.

Plmypton got hassled a bit in last years prelim, it seems to be the way to get over the top of them, the red dogs have got a bit of college footy about them!
