If Havens have already appointed, I'm thinking theyve rushed in. I think they should have looked at a variety of applicants over a process and make a well thought decision. If theyve nabbed the first decent option it could be to their detriment in the long run.

Andy Thorton - Ex Portland / Unley??
Andy Lipson - Assistant

Should be a good fit for North Haven.
Now more than ever it will be a time for actions and not words from the senior playing group.
They are straight to their word, they don't talk a lot of smoke and mirrors behind windows.

Supposedly Andy Thornton. He coached portland for 2 and a half years. Taking them from div 4 to div 3. If they have taken him, will be interesting to see if he plays some games. Played for Portland last yr in div 3, has lost some kg's and would cause alot of headaches for a div 5 full back!

Schnitzel, they probs should have looked at other candidates but I assure you he is the right man for the job down there, will straighten a few blokes out and put Havens back on the right path to rising up divisons. That being said Rowlands did an alright job under the circumstances.

So what is Andy's policy on Ouzo & Raspberry with plenty of ice??? That could just be the deal breaker down at Havens... :drinkers:

I don't think he will have to much of a problem with it, just as long as it's Saturday night and not Friday night it is being consumed....

Has done it before at this level. I reckon he'll go alright. I wonder if anyone will follow him from Portland? Danny Mac maybe? I've heard they've already picked up a relation of Travis Cloke!!

He wasn't coaching last year, and I'd say it's harder to play well in D3 than D5

thorno is 41 this year i think, played under him at prtland for 2 years and i believe he's a perfect fit for us at haven, yeah he gets a pretty deccent case of white line fever and is a very passionate bloke when it comes to footy, will deffinately sort out the blokes who arnt fair dinkum just like he did at portland, loved playing for him and can't wait to play for him again, think he's spewin mitcham arnt in div 5 tho :D

5 goals to zip at quarter time might have something to do with it... good start ;)
