Not bad Z.

As always, I'd have trouble picking a defence, mostly because they are at the opposite end to me and it's hard to remember faces and names that you don't encounter too often. Has G Hall played much in defence this year?

probably not a lot but he fits in nice there..i think hes a good player..when looking for defenders you have to be a bit open

pretty spot on i rekon zed, cant think of anyone that hasnt been mentioned in the team or in the unluckies that immediately springs to mind. not sure ty corey would be to hapy to be in the back pocket tho!!!! haha

Hmmm, speaking of good players, anyone want to start having a crack at a Team of the Year, or even just throw a few names out there.

The selectors always appreciate a bit of forum input

Without sounding biased, i would have to say Josh Hawkesworth has had an amazing season, has busted his a$$ all year and would surely be one of the best backmen this season, also Ryan Tremain on a forward flank, similar to Josh has had a strong season and has given opposition plenty of headaches.

They would be the only two from Ingle Farm i think are deserving

lets be serious here, without seeing all the ruckman in div 6, vesalli would have to be in the top 2-3, his ability to work around the ground and his second efforts are almost second to none.
He was a very capable ruckman in div 4 in 2008. helping portland win the flag!

Iron Fist, as i've said before, ali is a good player/ruckman, i don't dispute this, but just thought the CLG ruckmen would give their on ballers first use in the middle...

i like the team you have picked but as yo pointed out it is not one i would look at putting on the ground from a forward perspective.
the amount of chase and defensive pressure you would get from these legends if the ball hit the ground would be none existant.no crumbers
Nathan Bryant for me at chf mainly because he is now playing more up the ground and like big stubby he has that bit of mongrel that the good players have.big ali would be in my team but believe it or not i would be inclined to play him on the wing.his an athlete with height and good skilss and would be an advantage over other teams who would not be able to match up on him
apart fom that defensively it is sound but the the one thing you left out is who would you get to coach them?
a challenge for you!
think about the whole role of the coach and who would be your choice?
So many egos,so much talent so many different styles,thats what makes the difference in not only this team but many others

i think your number 1 across the half back flank would be a shoe in for my team.underated and goes under the radar but sets so much of your play up through the corridor.i think his name might be nichols

Danny Phillips would be the best full back going around at the moment and I believe it's luke Francis that's plays at half back I think Nicholls plays in the middle as for the coach it would have to Matty McPherson
