We have met Turk and shared many an ale over many years... one tip, i cant play golf to save my life and havent for 20 years since I worked that out, perhaps if you booked buggies I could drive and serve drinks. If we get over the line I may just revel myself and unmask

If there are any people under an injury cloud and they put their hands up DR will pick them. One thing about him is he will always put faith in and back his boys in.

You are a clown Shrek, watching DR all year I can tell you anyone not right wont play, himself included, his professionalism comes in front of ego and/or friendship "backing his boys" everyone knows playing injured players in a GF is footy suicide, he will stand by his guys but not let them down by being dumb and emotional picking injured players. do you actually even know DR shrek?

If they put their hand up and say they're right to play he will back their judgement. That's the reason so many people so many people will follow him, he'll back you up in any situation. How long ago did DR do his driver? He won't train all week so he doesn't risk it but I bet you any money he'll play.

Golden Grove

the losing grandfinalists from div 6 came up to div 5, with what they knew to be a good team, but other current div 5 teams had yet to see the boys from harpers field play, they soon found out this group was good.. very good..new players into a strong outfit included scudds (100 goals for the year) and simmons who would both dominate their respective playing areas..big wins early and strong showings from their b grade confirmed our fears and had the other teams worried.when we playd GG at st marys it was a slaughterhouse..they were in top form and won by 30 goals but it could have been 40..i thought then i had seen the premiers in action as this was a truly classy outfit for div 5, super forwards and on ballers..the only hiccups through the year came against greenacres..an ominous sign for tommorrow??..they despatched plympton with ease to go up to div 4 and the gf..have sat back for 2 weeks resting, plotting and waiting..now they know who they play..GG would hate to lose 2 gf's in a row..no matter how good your season can be.. someone always comes 2nd in a 2 horse race even if its between octagonal and makybe diva..preview tommorow :)

players to watch : scudds, boxer, simmons, kuhndt, mcarthy, darkins, hoklas, ravlich, seaton

Shrek when DR was playing at Kilburn and was club captain in 01 Premiership he took himself out of the game the Thursday night before the GF, i would only assume DR would consider it just as important to his side that he stand on the sidelines and coach this if he is not 100% fit.

It's div 5 not div 1 and he plays in the goalsquare now. Very different circumstances. I thought he tore it on the Tuesday before the GF that year. I'm not trying to call him selfish or anything, but he will think he can contribute at less than 100% fitness and back his team mates in to contribute at less than 100% too. We shall see who plays soon enough anyway.

Hope the Greenies boys get up. These GG posters seem like a bunch of nongs.

I would keep my eyes on a couple of young, blonde haired lads that have really stepped up in the A's of late at GG... Both played great games against Plympton and are very much unknown quantities... Both are very good readers of the ball, courageous and have great skills. Stay tuned !!

I'm thinking the same, similar to what Felch said in another thread. I wonder if they'll be so keyboard-happy if they don't win on Saturday.
