No good mate. Destroyed again in the midfield, Corey and Visser dominated the first half and put the game beyond doubt really.

Been really struggling under the weight of injuries, as you well know. Seem to cop a shocker every week - it was young Dennis' turn this round, probably needs a shoulder reco and it effectively writes his baseball season off.

It's Birdie and Deano's 100th this week, so hopefully we can cause an upset or two.

lutz, have you rucked against all of them or just played against them?
Interesting opinion as Ali dominated against CLG. When did you play against Ali?

yea ive rucked against all of them in the last 6 weeks... everyone matches up differently against different opponents i guess, but i found that the CLG ruckmen that i went against had a much better vertical leap, and couldnt even get my hand on the ball, whereas i thought i went ok against ali.....nothing against ali tho, he is a good player

the CLG ruckmen are prob equal best ive played against this year along with martinello from lockley's

I realise this is a week late BUT I just want to say to Dave and Daniel, who I played football with and think are two very good people, I'm so sorry to hear what happened and I hope you're hanging in there. I can't imagine what's going on but just wanted to say that I was thinking about you guys when I read the paper last week.
Has anyone seen Sammy G, the KING of Teringie.

Lets be serious they have been all over the shop this season and the fact they strung together a couple of wins against crap opposition late in the season to give it false hope is not the point, the point is you gotta win more than a few token games to even deserve to stay up!

To the prima donna "superstars" they got running around, pull your heads in, your playing div6, wins dont just fall into your lap, you actually gotta work for it.

only watched the last 20mins, the biggest things that i saw are.
lack off leaders on field, someone needed to take control and direct on the field.
players not prepared to put there head over the ball
lack of manning up

Yep and how can you expect to win games like??

Lack of leaders is probably a serious underlying issues, too many sit back and think because they not in the leadershiop group or whatever its not their responsibility to stand up, too much relies and has done for a while now on Grant Hawkesworth to take charge and babysit these kids!!

end of the day, if they want to put their hand up to play A grade, they need to be willing to stand up and make a difference, take the chance, bleed for the opportunity, play for their team mates and themselves!

Div 6 Footy Tips Update

Watchdog throws himself back into contention with the only full score of the round.

The tied leaders have a two-point break on those sitting in second, so if we don't see a round of upsets this week, it will be those four tipsters at the top vying for the big prize (tipster glory & forum fame, slab of beer, SAFooty.net stubby holder & cap).

For Round 18, I will allow you to submit your tips to me in private via PM (this mainly concerns the top few tipsters) if you wish, just do it before 11am this Saturday. Otherwise just post them as normal, I'll leave the decision up to you.

Good luck!

72 - demonseye, LaughingKookaburra, Phantom Gossiper, watchdog
70 - Lance's Brother, S Demon
69 - bomberrob, Footy Chick, Ian, TIRED TIGER
68 - carey, The Riddler
67 - dee man, possum
66 - Demon Juke, zedman
65 - The Bartman,
64 - Darth Demon, Lightning McQueen, unknown source
62 - Bigshow82
58 - Head Raider

*Failure to submit tips for a third week will get you eliminated from the comp (failure to submit tips this week highlighted in red)

**If you think I've made any errors with the scores feel free to let me know

I wasn't implying that it was any bad towards your club at all. In fact I heard the opposite. Hopefully justice is served through the court system, keep people like this off the streets. I kept my eye out in the paper but as yet didnt see anything. Or did I miss it??
