Satchel, in saying that there would be no comparison between this other guy and Cook. Do you mean Cook would be better than a player you don't even know? Or did you mean something different? Excuse my ignorance.

Heard North Haven got pen to paper from a highly intoxicated up and coming young gun on the weekend, in his own words he has signed there for eat tickets only, he was about 10 bahama mummas down at this stage and im not 100% sure what eat tickets are, is there anyone down Haven way willing to inform of what these so called eat tickets are, Calling the Chunp is here to enter this topic, it is also alleged he and the current bar tender at the club are getting along nicely

I would like to pick the truth out of this fabrication.
Truth - a couple of players signed for North Haven on Saturday afternoon, but this was well before any alcohol was consumed. After 10 Jugs of Bahama Mummas there may have been some embelishment of what deals were actually penned. The only eating that was done on the day was when said player went face first into a bush well into the night. As for the bar tender, Troy and I have never had any problems and think he is doing a wonderful job, and I am sure we will continue to get along nicely.

so what you are saying is the player in question had already put pen to paper before the jugs of bahama mummas and also only started to negotiate what form of payments he was wanting after the pen went to paper. would have thought NH would be more than happy to give in to his demands as what ever eat tickets are would be a win for a player of his calibre, this to me sounds like a recipe for disaster, and also i was talking about a different bar tender apparently he had some nice things to say to her over the phone, her name rhymes with flare

Yes all contracts were signed well before alcohol started to cloud any judgement. Belive he tried for a sign on fee later in the day of Drink Cards, Eat Tickets and the services of said bar tender that rhymes with flare. Negotiations broke down after the 9th phone call to her.

No stress mate, Just saying from what ive seen and heard there would be no comparison between the two. Completeley different players. I will say i think experience wise Lynch would have that covered but game day i think Cook would have the biccies there. Thats just a personal oppinion though. Be gladly corrected. I do rate Cook highly. Just not happy we will front up against a side like FP next year.

Dont think there will be much more from the Lodge on the recruiting front. With pre season training starting this week the focus is on getting the new recruits to settle in to the club and gel with the current crop to drive towards a successful 2012 for the yellow and black!

I think all the haven talk is Portland based. From what I've read it's all smoke and mirrors as 2 players are the only signings haven have.

Haven have lost a couple most notably Eagles and have signed Lynch and Lipson so we are probably a bit down on last season but there is a long way to go till the season so hopefully we cover it
