Drove past Gaza on the way home and they had about 30...

Maybe Broadview haven't officially started pre-season yet.

pretty good predictions there FN! I reckon Port Districts might go better than most people think. I reckon they will make the 5! I still have reservations about Henley also@

Agree also FN very much on the mark with your predictions.

Agree with you LF that Port Districts will be top 5 and maybe top 3 but I do think Henley will be in the top 5. If the rumours are true about certain players leaving Salisbury North than I think they will struggle this year.

I was told that a lack of numbers on the track was one of the problems at Broadys last year and one of the reasons the previous coach looked elsewhere.

I think the coach had more to do with the lack of numbers that the other way around from what i understand. Heard that there weren't may at training for Broadview too, they do have some out at league clubs and away overseas though. Always the way come pre season, try getting them out on Thursday when its 41!!!!!. As long aas they keep the core group, which is pretty strong, they should be ok.

Don't see anything wrong with his coaching, i'd say its between the ears of the players thats the problem.
Some players dont like his professionalism, its funny how alot of blokes goals in footy are to win a premiership, yet they don't understand the requirments of puting your body on the line & getting youself in shape.
Those players that do struggle because they have no pre-season behind them, always look for someone else to blame when things arn't going right for them & the first one is always the coach in there eyes.
Don't get me wrong it happens at alot of clubs not just Broadview, i've seen it with me own eyes.
Tony Burgess in my eyes is a big loss for Broadview.
He didn't get the results because players wouldn't listen & if they don't listen & do the hard yards, well your on a hiding to nothing.
The personnel wasn't that good either!

yep MERCY youree right. Burgess top shelf coach. Broady players have all to answer for. Burgess himself probably one of best coaches in a1 but all you said was spot on 101%. players like (wont mention them all) let down burgess and the club not the coach. he was an excellent coach without the playing stock and the players he did have had the discipline of a a6 club player

I heard a whisper newman re- the two had a fallout, but i'm not going to elaberate on here as it would only get blown out of proportion & its non of my business. Its probably a load of sh!t anyway.
As for Marshall, a little birdie told me he's getting married this week (good luck to him) & will play for portland in 08.
But don't know when he's making the move, coz i think he's still training at Seaton.
Maybe after his honeymoon!!

Mercy you have your finger on the pulse, very knowledgable with the goings on around the footy traps. I hear Marshall is waiting to see where one S. Hodges bobs and that where he might end up in 2008.

Heard Hodges would be making a cameo role along with David Brown with Paringa in the Riverland.
Former Port Adelaide player Mark Dittmar is coach there and has pretty strong ties with both.
Could be a load of shite though!
