But those clubs don't have lengthy records, even if those who prompted the weekend's crap were from the two clubs involved, which most seem to agree they were not (and I'm not suggesting those involved in Saturday were involved with SFC either).

What was the club's record this year? That is what is relevant.

Dogwatcher wrote:Us clubs out north have to stop looking to blame others when crap things happen and take a good hard look at ourselves.
Who do we want representing us as players and supporters?

I'm not looking to shift blame, I'm looking for a proper solution to get this garbage away from our games once and for all, rather than sledgehammer 'solutions' from the league that clearly don't work. As I said - banning a club shifts the problem elsewhere and therefore accomplishes nothing but punishment for those who work tirelessly for the club they love.

Clubs are looked at for their recent history, not just one season.
Well, to advocate for something, you probably need to say you're advocating for that in the first place. How do you think it should've been handled?

Marbles, you dont get it.

The SFL is Div 1, 2 and 3 sort of standard. Even the bottomed out teams are div 5 or 6.

Brighton in their current slump would win Div 6 by record margins.

pretty harsh on WOS & COLONEL LIGHT boys

brighton finished 8th in sfl with 10 wins, if they played the 3 crappy bottom sides twice, thats 6 wins

we're just amateurs here boys, I really dont think the quality between div 6 and the bottom half of div 2 down is that great

woody souths would have a fair crack at brighton, who last year were div 6

fact is theyre never gonna get a free ticket into div 2 or div 3

They didn't, because they made the grand final last year they were dealt one of the hardest draws including playing most of the top eight twice. That fact they lost their coach plus a heap of good players to other clubs/leagues showed their depth. With all due respect they would wipe the floor with CLG and WOS and most if not all div 5 clubs, woody south included. Marbles how much SFL have you watched or you just going on assumption? I've played both and those SFL clubs are as professional as any SAAFL club and train real hard and most have the $$$ to throw around. Do your research buddy and think your opinion will change

Pretty harsh on brighton IMO. Sometimes Marbles, you jump the shark and the ocean he's swimming in

Didn't one of the 3 crappy SFL teams play Mitchell Park in a trial earlier this year?

yeah I talk crap most the time, but I like someone working at NASA am trying to fit triangles through cylinders to essentially make an even better saafl

ie: a division 7 with agrade sides only & a 2 conference division 8 & 9 for clubs who hav c & d grade sides

excuse me for not praising brighton enough, but we need them as we also need marion, morphettville & edwardstown to fill our divisio to have equally agrades ONLY

and their massive egos might not need us, but there volunteers do, cos at least with the saafl theyve got some hope of winning a flag in the next 10 years :)

Yes and nearly lost. SFL is a crap comp and you wouldn't be surprised if half of them lined up to come in to SAAFL. Except Edwardstown of course, cos SFL is way better than Div 2. :D

Sorry Footy Chick but I can't let that go through to the keeper. The club is not in a shambles, it's rebuiding, and *cough* *cough* those ex Townie boys playing for Kenilworth have been chasing bucks for a few years now, guess they found the right club aye. Needless to say they are still searching for a flag and Saturday will determine their real worth. :(

I agree Old Fullback, I watched the game and hell you blokes had contest on your hands for
quite a while. When you hit top gear though you played some of the best footy I have seen this year.
I did wonder wether your lack of games leading in to the granny would work against you but
obviously your coach was well on top of that. You came out at the end full of steam and were
basically unstoppable.
Good luck in divvy 6 next year you blokes were the best team this year and deserve to be promoted
as do Angle Vale as runners up.
Also good luck in the future to BP thanks for being a great coach and person.
