i will be standing next to the short man with orange hair..biting my fingernails..

LK: if osborn is back you maybe some sort of chance i reckon..they were ripe for the plucking last week but we didnt put them away when we had the foot on the throat in the first quarter..should have been 8 or 9 goals to 2 at 1/4 time..not 5.7

Ingle Farm have to be realistic and just focus on getting the win this week. That will make it 3 in a row which is a significant achievement considering what happened ealier in the season. Mitchell Park seem to have improved recently, so I'm sure they will come to play. Any thoughts of winning by huge margins and making up the 5% gap on Paralowie are not realistic.

Colonel Light Gardens v Houghton Districts
THE TIP - Colonel Light Gardens by 13-24 points
Casting a quick eye over this game I begin to wonder whether either of these
teams deserves to finish fifth and play in the finals. At least Colonel Light
Gardens put up a bit of a fight against West Croydon on Saturday, because
Houghton Districts certainly didn’t during their insipid performance down at
St Mary’s Park. With everything to play for, the ‘Raiders’ barely managed a
whimper in scrapping together a measly four goals and were rather lucky that
Kenilworth kicked so many behinds because the 80-point loss could have
been much worse. After such a pathetic display I question whether their
players can even be bothered playing finals. Unbelievably though, they are
still in the hunt to finish fifth and a win this weekend could almost seal it,
however, I seriously doubt whether they have the hunger to get the points.
Colonel Light Gardens on the other hand at least managed to reach 10 goals
in their game on the weekend, but were still soundly beaten by the top side.
They were also unable to beat Lockleys recently and this is despite
welcoming back key players to the team in recent weeks. Maybe they are also
flat-track bullies. So what do we get when we have two flat-track bullies
playing each other for a shot at the major rounds? Nobody wanting to put their
head over the ball perhaps. Which makes it a little difficult to pick a winner.
This game is virtually an Elimination Final and therefore must be played like
one. Throw away the fancy football this Saturday, because only hardness,
desperation and courage can win this game. While neither of these teams are
exhibiting much of those three qualities at the moment, it is my view that
Colonel Light Gardens currently has a little more hunger for finals - which
wouldn’t be hard because Houghton Districts seems to be absent of it.

nearly spot on i would have thought mr Q
Bit harsh on the lions Zman, thought their footy for three quarters last week was pretty good

HDFC also lost to Henley in round 1 so it haunts both of us as does our poor kicking first time around against the kookas when we kicked 2.9 in the last qtr

I guess that's why we are both where we are on the ladder. Could be higher, but aren't and have to deal with it tomorrow.
