Gee, couldn't see that coming

Not sure what to make of it. PAOC had a pretty good side in, and Seaton had nothing to lose. And are a good side. Maybe the trip down to Pedlar Reserve, and the weather, was a little too much for the PAOC lads to handle - out of their comfort zone.

I wouldnt think they threw it on purpose, or took it easy. Form is one thing you dont want to mess with, especially this time of year.

So wheres all the Mitcham blokes offering Para Hills all the cudo's they deserve. The real Para Hills came to play yesterday and it makes you wonder where that form has been this season. Just a final word on the once again disgraceful umpiring we've been dished up this year. Those 2 clowns yesterday were by far the worst we've had this season. 3 reports,(the first time a PH player has been reported this year) 2 or 3 yellow cards in what was a physical but far from spiteful game. In those conditions there was always going to be a high number of body clashes. Those 2 inadequate umpires could not umpire a junior game let alone a Div 3 game with a lot at stake for one team. The people in charge down at Thebarton need to have a close look at what a debacle the umpiring has been this year in Div 3 AND NEVER LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN

Bring on 2011

Right here blackcat!! Good on the PH lads for doing the right thing by us for a change ;) good win for us yesterday, and awesome to just sneak into the 5 and play finals next week. Seaton and SMOSH would be disappointed to not make it in, but the footy we've been playing lately, I think we're deserved of our spot.

The same applies to Mitcham as it does to Portland, highest finals campaign in the history of the club, 6 years ago we were a kick away from being down in Div 6, to be playing div 3 finals now is great.

Bring on CBC next week! P.S. Top End & Schima - SMOSH were always overrated 8)

4 of the top 5 clubs were in D4 in 2008, 2 of them were there last year. Its a credit to these clubs that they have been able to not only get promoted, but be very competitive.

Mitcham could be a dangerous side over the next few weeks. They have absolutely nothing to lose from here.

To the Portland boys phoning Luke Hosie numerous times satuday night slagging him & our coach, you proved what childish BOYS you are.KARMA!

Hosie has a good relationship with most of the Portland lads. I cant speak on his behalf but i dont think he will be taking it too personally. He (Hosie) is a great bloke and i dont think from our lads it was too malicious. The rivalry between Seaton and Portland is pretty much on par with what we had with Nth Haven and as recent Smosh. When the chips were down and our club dropped a division most of our players from back then jumped ship as it got too hard and not all their fault our administration of our club was not very supportive. When we beat those sides where they (Seaton) had palyers from our club it is far more consequence if we are to loose. We beat them in our second incounter and may be forgiven to see some delight from our lads when they have talked it up and have had some good results and in the end get knocked out. My apologies NM but cant not hide my personal satisfaction that Seaton didnt make the finals. Also the same that SMOSH didnt make it.
Great work for Para Hills on the weekend. Good finish to the year. Rather stiff to not be in a better position as i think they are a great side and can beat most sides on their day. Its going to make for a very interesting final series with Seaton proving that it doesnt matter where you are on the ladder it can be done. Not sure about the ins and outs of the Seaton and PA game but it would be interesting to know how it was done. I still think PA will play off and go up next year but very open for that second spot.

Before alot want to get on here & put down Seatons effort i must say a very couragous display by the boys Saturday.
Unfortunately for us its a little to late & no PAOC didn't lay down we played a solid TEAM game where everyone played their part & were rewarded for doing so. THE UMPIRES ONCE AGAIN WERE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.
Consistancy has been the big problem all year with Seaton, relying too much on the same players week in week out, alot of blokes need to have a good hard look at themselves in the mirror & be honest in asking themselves did i give the 100% thats required & did i take onboard & carry out the instructions & game plan i was told to do so? If they had the TEAM would be playing finals football & would of finished top 3.
At presentations saturday night our coach announced his resignation & will no longer be involved with Amateur League Football.

Oh how it gave me joy to see Seaton win and still miss the 5. Well done lads come down from div2 and miss the finals.
Also read now the coach is giving it away. May have got all to hard for the big man coaching egos and selfish footballers. Seaton like i said are on track for div4.
Well done to the portland boys. Am actually hoping you guys get into div2 next year. Will be a good Western suburbs rivalry. Like we had with seaton before they started there slide.

yep 1.8 :o 6 of the 8 were gimmes.

seaton just smashed us in the midfeild which hasnt happened all year. wanders, degabriele and coard all got so much clean footy. and so many of our blokes had an off day. we probably should have been up by more at half time but as said we kicked poorly. but to seatons credit they came out and lifed their tempo and rode their midfeild home. some of the holding the ball call were baffling both ways, was just so frustrating.

As far as i know Roo kicked 1.7 with the umpires giving him his only goal with the help of a bullsh!t 50mtr penalty.
I'd say other than that one all his shots were from the top or outside 50, great work by M Fenney playing him tight & pushing him out deep, the Roo found the wind very tricky at Seaton saturday pushing most of his kicks left.

Teoby's right & nothings changed with the umpires all year, they havn't any idea on occasions, when Seaton were getting close to PAOC the umps would pull one out of the hat. ( a couple of 50s resulting in goals from the goalsquare to PAOC )
Their was an umpires observer at the game & even he was questioned what he thought of the diobolical display. Like all down at Amateur House they all see it but do f..k all.

No, but maybe you have. Ethelton and Alberton United were also involved in the merger. We arent the Power - we arent trying to claim history that isnt ours.

Roo had very little influence against us also. Kicked 4 but 2 were free kicks, another was a gimme over the back. Last year PAOC would not have won the flag without him - this year they dont need him firing to win. Saying that, if he does fire, then look out!
