We have a very young senior group and a very strong junior program and ideally we are looking for a person who may combine a coaching role with junior development.

If you are interested in either the position of 'C' or 'D' coach or Development Manager please PM me.

so some of us that were on the money a few years ago were right then.

It wasn't really secretive. The club held a number of meetings open to all members over the last year or so.

However, rumours spread by people from rival clubs were false and there will be no change to the junior structure.

I can think of two returns. A third being a GG junior coming back from reserves footy and a lengthy injury layoff.
Im sure Choccies knows more than i do with respect to new signings over the summr. I believe we landed one signing we had really been gunning for just before the Xmas break. Another was close but havent heard an update recently.

Assuming all are good to go, that's 4 - 5 injections into our best 18 (possibly best ten depending on your opinion)

Lots of water to go under the bridge and im not confident yet. We have had the same 'core group' for a while now and whilst we have some promising young ones coming through, a bit more class and a bit of depth would not go astray.

Thanks to being stuck working in Sydney, Choccies has yet to grace any training sessions so far so I know as little as everyone else unfortunately. Except a couple of known 'ins' and a quality midfielder who was supposed to play but did his knee during preseason ruling him out for the year who will be on the park in 2012. Apart from that, I guess I'll find out in a few weeks !!

I can confirm the Dragons have lost 'alot' of handy players. Them being Uern(FP), Wright and Trevillian(Wallaroo), Fitzgerald(Brighton), White(FP or Gaza), Talbot(TTG), Schallen(Retired), Frankel(Kilburn, not an A Grader anyway), Gordon Burrows(Army commitment and Operations).

I'm sure they aren't the only to leave but guys, this happens. Opposition clubs will be licking there lips but that is football. When money is involved, players come and go but Greenacres, under Lester Ross will get on with it. Win, lose or draw, they will be competitive.

Those are huge outs for greenacres.
We never played 'acres whilst Trav Uern was in the side but it is well documented he is a handy forward.
Bear also a very handy player
Wright is the biggest lost for you guys from an outsiders point of view. He really was your key player/barometer. Wright, bamford and of course forth were the guys you always needed a plan for.
No doubt this frees coin up so Greenacres can go shopping.

Have heard the ruck stocks are low down at Greenies and that they're offering some coin to a div 7 ruckman who only managed 3 games last year due to niggling injuries, any truth to that Craigy? He's been training with ya during pre season i'm told.

Yep. Look forward to that lad having a good year. Been smashing the gym so I hope he has an impact for us physically and quality wise.
Ahhh yeah, I'll be out there but hardly blistering.... but I'll make sure I get out the way when u lap me... ;)

No, Pasty's still there. It was shock horror during the week after he rocked up to 2 training sessions. What div 7 ruckmen may that be? I haven't seen any new faces?

Yes, I know of one former div 6 captain that has gone for a run out there, whether he can gather the intestinal fortitude to leave the club where he holds the most games played record is another story though ;)

Haven't seen you on here in a long time rockstar. Yeh, I'm sticking with the Dragons. I want to push myself and was over playing in lower divs, although I've played with some very good players under some very good coaches. I didn't want to go my whole career playing average opposition. I beat a dead horse at Kilburn for 2 years champ. You should know that

Personally i dont think there is much of a gap between Div 4 and Div 6, and im more than confident that the top Div 6 sides would beat a Div 4R side.
All good, we'll meet you next year in Div 5 ;)
