What are people's thoughts about SMOSH and Scotch. Will SMOSH repeat itself and go straight back into Div 2, or will they struggle a little more next season then they did in 2007? Personally i'd love to see Scotch stay down in div 3 for a few years

but im not sure what there coach and commitiee want.
what would be best for smosh if??
i think they should go up and have another crack at div 2!!!

If the players don't think they can match it in div 2, I'd say it's a good indication they should come down.

It depends what your footy clubs philosphy is i suppose. Ours is to play as high as grade as possible, regardless.

But if the players don't have confidence is it really that wise Felch? Players may leave before the season starts, the club has a shit year and loses even more players at the end of the year. Unless you are certain you can improve from the previous year and the majority of players are on the same page I think a club in SMOSH's position should go down.

Just a hypothetical if SMOSH choose Div 3 what is the more likely scenario offer the Div 2 spot to Kilburn or Scotch?

I would imagine there would be more to gain from being in Div 3 and building some confidence, re-grouping and having a good year than being up in Div 2, possibly out of your league and copping another dent to to your clubs' aspirations.... There seems to be no other incentives to be in Div 2 otherwise ??
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I think being competitive in div. 2 would be more satisfying than being strong in div. 3, it's far easier to be relegated than it is to be promoted.

If the SAAFL had any sense, they would offer Golden Grove the final spot in div. 2.
