Think that you have been a bit harsh on Henley for a few years No Mercy. This side this year will go close. You always
have an axe to grind with Henley. You Watch - The Sharks will circle in 2009. Unlucky with injuries last year and the
only reason the Sharks probably did not take out the Flag. Only Gepps can get close to stopping the Sharks next year.
If the Sharks did not have injuries would have gone all the way in 08. Gepps, Sals Nth or Goodwood would not have stopped them

So the "shark net" wont be thrown out come September?
No shark net any year there mate. Just bad luck thats all. Cant have all the injuries the Sharks have had and win Premierships over the years. You need luck to win flags and the Sharks have not had any for 3 years. Only time the Sharks
had any luck and went forward was when Hodges in charge. He had some luck. Injuries and only Injuries have stopped a flag since then
The Shark were circling in 08 candyman & i was stupid enough to pick them winning the flag, thats a fair axe to grind isn't it?
Get over the injury factor champ that excuse is becoming booooring to listen to, all clubs get there fair share yet its the only excuse we here from you & your chardonney band down there when you lose.
IF IF IF  You could've, you should've, you would've but you didn't after spending huge $$$
You need luck to win flags you say - What luck did Hodges have there? They didn't win a flag or are you saying they should've?
I hope thats not being to harsh candyman!

Injuries are a legitimate reason there No Mercy. Henley have been very, very unlucky with that regard over the last three seasons and would have won a flag if it was not through bad luck thats all im saying. You are harsh on the Sharks
though and a bit bitter towards them. Jump aboard in 09 mate and be in for the ride of your life - all the way to Thebarton Oval

Are you speaking from the heart there Candy, anything to do with a past affiliation with the Sharks? An assistant coach maybe or whiteboard carrier.
You know what I mean, Valvoline.
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

Many good clubs in Amateur League, they are just one I really admire. Spent close on 6 years in the Competition

Like i said all clubs have injuries but not all clubs had a list like yours throughout the year, what a waste of year & money!
People like you that blow their trumpets too early ( November ) need to take a few steps back as your too far ahead of yourself & listening to you sounds like a broken record player.
I might just be more sensible in 09 & back Henley to not win a final, that sounds more realistic!

Was that bitter or honest?

Never had any affiliation with Henley in my life Gator. Played against them 3 or 4 times but that is it. As I said, have been
impressed with how they run the footy club and how well they have gone since coming into Divy 1. Might be looking in the
wrong direction with that implication Gator. Infact the last club I played for in Divy 1 had an unfriendly rivalry with the Sharks.
Sorry to upset your Conspiracy theory there Gator, but could not be any further from the truth. Sorry Mr Valvoline.

Dont worry - wont blow the trumpet of Henley anymore fellas. I will be Steven Halls brother soon, Assistant Coach,
Whiteboard marker, etc etc. My posts have only ever been constructive towards Henley being a club io beat in 2009 along with Gepps Cross simple as that. Sorry - have just been appointed the new assistant coach and Bar Manager at Sharkland in the last minute just to keep your conspiracy theory going. Your cryptic clues are even ordinary Valvoline and Campbells. Bit sad when someone cant have an opinion Mr Gator. Sorry to disappoint

Another phone call from Sharksland - now Assistant Coach, Bar Manager and Head Trainer.
Thanks for the good words you have put in for me there Gator Aid
Could be the President or Chairman soon with your glowing references of me - Idiot
Will be playing at Christies for one more year before heading back to Amateurs and THEN Henley would be a club to look at and as said before MANY OTHER good clubs to look at. Would depend on location of residency one would think

You wouldn't make any difference down there as far as President or Chairmans concerned, to be honest your sounding exactly like the current!
God help the club if they get another mooron on board!

There is some definate attitude towards Henley from what I am reading. From the Mercy Man to Mr Gator and a host of others, Henley seem to cop it bad down in Adelaide. Is their success as a club annoying you all??? - Sounds like it. Just wondering why really good clubs like them (and others) seem to cop a bagging. Sour grapes maybe, Great Success perhaps??? - Bit of the tall poppy syndrome

candyman, i would say you are rather stupid if u listen to no mercy. i think you have had some really good posts on here! No mercy is obviously still bitter about the way he left henley a couple of years ago and that noone down the club wanted to play for him! It's a shame that you cant just let it go and give credit to henley when its due, like last year when they had a magnificent year and injuries played a major part in why they did not win a final and get the holy grail. that is a fact! It's a shame no mercy!

Oh my goodness, for someone that's had no previous affiliation with the Sharks, you have certainly jumped on the defensive back foot there Candy. If there is nothing relevant in my post, then why go to the bother of posting 3 separate responses?
Overkill or otherwise??????? Touchy, touchy!!

Can you also please define "unfriendly rivalry" for me. I am interested in hearing about that.

Would suggest you go back and have a closer look Mr Gator. The first post denied any affiliation with the Sharks and the other two were "tounge in cheek", saracasim, pull the piss out of you, posts. Not being the brightest you probably did not pick up on it. - You were having the piss taken out of you Gator. The three clubs I have played with in Amateur League were in the North/North East, Inner Northern and West, but no Sharks. I have fallen into the trap of defending myself to a cretin for thinking Henley and OTHER Clubs are well run. From now on if I want to say as much, certainly wont be needing your authority to say so. Cant really help it if your Conspiracy theory has gone out the door Mr Gator. Would have made a good story, but alas no cigar. For the last time (and will type it slowly - just for you to understand) HAVE NEVER HAD AN AFFILIATION WITH THE SHARKS. My opinion on them is based on playing against them and having 3 mates who played there all with glowing references

Unfriendly rivalry - A club that plays against another when a fair bit of pride is on the line, sometimes a tad violent, always a little heated in the battle. - Do I have to clarify further or are you smart enough to work that one out??? - Doubt it. Let it digest a little and MAYBE it will sink in

Cover King - I do not listen to anyone in formating an opinion about a club. You having a crack at No Mercy certainly does your club no help either. All I have said is I admire the way Henley has played since coming from A2 and the way they have gone about their business. Certain cretins have had me as an Assistant Coach to President and on the Henley Committee.
Let me make it clear - I am none of the above and if I think you stuff up throughout the year, I WILL bring it up. You write with some degree of certainty as to the identity of Mercy, but I have no clue as to whom it may be. Whatever - should you fall over again this year in the
finals perhaps No Mercy has a point. I wish you well there Cover King as I do Gepps X, as I believe both are well run institutions that are good for football in both Senior and Junior football. Other than those clubs in D1, there is much to admire about many clubs. Dont take it for granted Cover King that I will be singing your praises all year, but certainly there is a legitimate reason for your Finals failures in the past. - Injuries. Not an excuse but a fact. Should you use it again in 09, there would be reason for serious concerns about your frailty in finals

im not personally involved in henley either as a player or anything i just no a lot of people and have a view on the henley footy club becaus i have watched them a bit over the years as they are a neighbouring club! thats about all and i totally agree with every point you wrote than candyman! 09' has to be the year for the sharks i say, but at the same point i think people forget that henley did finish 8th in 07 and had a really good and improving season last year..if they improve as much as they did last year they should make the GF and then anything can happen on the day...
