Yes, their coach was very gracious in victory...

...what a tool

How much bullsh*t can you squeeze into 24 hours? How appropriate that all those chipped shoulders can now bitch about one bloke under the same roof.

Victory lap? Nice sh*t-stir, but he walked part of the oval to tell supporters to come down and sing the song with us as reward for sticking by us in a tough season. And the jacket waving was for a laugh. We spoke about him doing it if we won last week, but he wasn't wearing it, so it was said he had to do it this week if we won. Some are taking themselves a little seriously. 'Outrageously stupid carry on', what a f*cking blow up.

SDemon you were right on the mark, this guy was also a TOOL he did the same thing at the end of the Trinity game.

Quichey... Your also right it was a laugh thats for sure! and he may not have been wearing his jacket for the Trinity game but he was able to borrow one cause he did the exact same thing at the end of the Trinity game yelling at us see what happens when you dont respect us??????

Sorry but do you seriouly think teams are going to come to any game going "wow i think we are going to get beaten today????" No matter what game you play you should be playing to win! If thats what you call cockiness then so be it!

As for Trinity not staying after the game and having a beer, after the carry on from the A's coach and the supporters it wasnt exactly welcoming. Houghton were the better team on the day in both the A's and the B's. I can only speak for myself but after the B grade game i went straight to the houghton reseves coach shook his hand and said well done. If respect is what you guys are after then maybe you should show some to receive some!

Trinity are usually more then happy to have a beer after the game.

Confidence and cockiness are two different things...

Your coach bagged the crap out of us after Round 2, was bagging us before last week's game and bagged us during his half time address. It was our second win for the season, first since round one, so we were pretty bloody happy, but even more so because we had to listen to him tell your A grade team how crap we supposedly are (but you wouldn't know that because you were playing ressies). And it wasn't Cab that got vocal after the game, it was our runner, myself and a few other players who let you know about the golden rule of never underestimating your opponent.

And don't say you were going to come up to the clubrooms for a drink when you sat around and drank your cartons of beer for the whole day.

Relax DQ. You can't honestly say it wasn't a little bit over the top - much like you chastised (or had a laugh at) Stubby for chest thumping a few weeks back?

I'm not a sore loser. My team won by 221 points. If I wanted to be a sore loser i'd start going on about who was missing on saturday. But i won't, because the 21 selected should have still got the job done.

You blokes seem to have an excuse for everything. We only did that, cos you said this, and blah f*cken blah. Just face it, saturday's reaction was over the top by anyone's standards. Did anybody realise that it was a Round 12 game?

The players played well and deserved to celebrate their unexpected win. No question about that. The aftermath was ridiculous and all it did was prove that success at Houghton is measured differently to anywhere else

I said it was a good laugh and noted that it would be a boring world if we all acted in a sterile manner (or something to that effect). I didn't carry on with vitriol for post after post.

Maybe the jacket-wave was a little too much for some fragile egos, but like FC said, it was a bit of fun, particularly for the home side as it was an in-house joke.

We could both go on about who was missing from either team. And well done to your team, but it's not the side that will move your club up or down divisions.

There's no excuses being made here, merely rebuttal in the face of vitriol.

Don't pretend to know Houghton either.

1stly I dont play!

Our coach bagging you guys?? Are you telling me that if you guys were getting beaten by one of the bottom sides your coach wouldnt be reving up your boys at half time by saying what the f**k are you doing out there these guys are at the bottom of the ladder, pull your finger out and lets send these guys back to Div 7! Not trying to be rood but you guys with the exception of the last two games have been playing crap so if your feelings got hurt by a coach reving up his boys well get over it! If the situation was in reverse i highly doubt your coach would have been telling your boys at half time " now boys its just a game and i want you to go out there and show these boys some respect!"

and the cartons of beer?? are you sure you werent confusing our supporters with your own?? The boys might get 1 beer after the game but as for CARTONS of beer ALL DAY?? what and who were you looking at?? Never seen our boys sitting on the side lines with cartons of beers. Our boys have had beers with other sides but it was not welcoming after that game, no offence mate i played against you guys in div 7 and i dont think i have ever felt like you guys would be willing to share a beer after the game! I even know one of your boys and still didnt think it was safe to stick around!

Righto kids the game has been won and everyone should now be looking to next week. Futile discussion about who was missing from which side, using chickens to to deter the oppositions concentration and who's jacket Cab used is starting to get a bit tiring.. and a bit nasty.

So lets leave it huh?

PS: This is not a request. Its an order.
