comments like this are not wanted by our football club and hopefully are just someone posing to be a portland supporter. comments like this are just making it harder for the blokes that are going out there every week trying to get the job done so stop giving the other sides amo to shoot us down!

From what I know certain players have come back to the club or put off retirement due to the current coach and the direction the club is heading towards. The posts about players leaving is starting to get pathetic, start cementing your own back yards because as I read it Seaton are in the 5 at this point in time and has had a prominant spot in major finals over the past 10 years. The club is clearly in a re-building stage and the coach from what I have seen and heard is a major factor in getting the club back to where is has been for a substantial time. In regards to the umpires, of the games I have seen there are 2 kids out there, every week, yes it is a concern considering the SAAFL have stipulated that there would be a junior umpire along with a senior umpire for all A3 games, a conspiricy no, poor management by the SAAFL yes.

I would get my facts right before I started bagging any poster on this forum as to who YOU think they are as YOU may very well be suprised and end up with your foot in your mouth.

Play on.........

Have the SAAFL stipulated that there would be a senior and junior umpire together for all A3 games? It seems the delegates and Exec thoght so, but the next 2 levels down decided they knew better and went back to only academy umpires

Dont worry piccachu wilfred, grandma and bubba all started writting crap around the same time. They dont write anything with facts or proof so we know they are just sh!t stirring.
They are making portland look real cocky though and they are firing alot of teams up, including us. But we do know there are some decent people at your club and some of you do write decent posts.
It would be good if we could both play each other again this year because i think they will be eating there words if we do

Fair chance you could meet in an elimination final.

Fair chance you could meet in an elimination final.[/quote]

4th Portland 9 wins 0 draws 7 losses
5th Seaton Ramblers 9 wins 0 draws 7 losses
6th SMOSH West Lakes 8 wins 0 draws 8 losses
7th Mitcham 8 wins 0 draws 8 losses

Portland have cbc and then scotch.
We have mitcham and prince alfred.
Smosh have scotch and para hills.
Mitcham have us and kilburn.

If portland and seaton can get one win i think percentage should keep us both in the 5. IMO i think smosh have the best run home but there are no easy wins for any of the teams.

as you say mcphil think seatons season will come down to this week vs mitcham. will be a cracker of a game and seaton will need to be at their best, because mitcham are playing for the same prize.
can see smosh losing to para hills IF the hills are still putting up a fight with nothing to play for.

There will be alot of pressure on all four clubs over the next two rounds. Do you think rain will favour you guys against cbc?

This week will be a huge game for us and mitcham. We will be treating this game as if it is a finals game. We are confident we can beat paoc on our best day but we dont want to have to rely on beating them to get in the 5.

Absolutely massive couple of rounds coming up. We need to win both our games, and win well at that. That's all we can do, then cross our fingers that SMOSH drop atleast one against PH/Scotch. I think the Scotch lads would be pretty keen for a win this week.... :prayer:

After Saturday, would be pretty confident PAOC will account for Seaton come round 18, but stranger things have happened. Even their B grade side would go close to accounting for a lot of Div 4-5 A grade teams. To have blokes like Fry and Choimes playing B's shows the strength of their A grade. How long will guys like that stick around just playing B grade footy though?

As for last week v PAOC, the boys put in their all and played pretty well. But on our oval, we're always going to struggle to win against a team that has someone who comes round and cleans everyones boots at the end of every quarter

Blokes like this will hang around because they are great, loyal club men who wont just spit the dummy and leave after a few games in the two's......not sure what it's like at other clubs?????

Also, having someone clean the mud off the boots is common sense I would have thought, could be that 1% difference between slipping over or making it to another contest.

Spot on about the boot cleaning latte lad
Id love to have someone do that if i was playing.

Could be the thing that is difference between 2 sides.

Id say they would stay reasonably clean for first few minutes sturtman?!
