Firstly I was a little unfair as my post read incorrect wrapping all Smithfield suporters up in the troubles, so I apologize for that but the antics of more than a few was nothing less than brain dead fools.

Secondly our friend the "CEO" being at our game threatening us with fines as someone walked on the oval towards a 3/4 time huddle with a can of alchohol is yet another example of personal vandettas against individuals and clubs. After posting some truths about his incompetence on the forum last week in regards to the SAAFL website. I did half expect him to try and get us on something, for the record I watched from my car and he wore no official attire at all and only spoke to Greenacres supporters, he did walk past smithfields huddle but no talking to them, they also had supporters holding alcohol on the oval. Both teams match day officials were asking people carrying alcohol to leave the oval and didnt need a fool with no official attire running around in peoples faces.

Thirdly, the rule for home finals is in black and white, the team finishing higher at the end of the minor round has the right to buy home finals, no finals results affect this so Greenacres can buy the final if they like.

Good on you mate for fixing it up a bit, we had some issues with some of your supporters but I have no intention of slandering your club. I did not witness any of the antics that were mentioned by turk but have asked him to pm me some details, we have had a great year as far as on & off field behavior goes and it is a kick in the guts to read some negativity.

It was a great game played with a lot of emotion, both crowds I thought were excellent during the game and really rallied behind their respective sides. We had our chances, especially being 8 points up with about 7 minutes to go, you guys fought back extremely well and never gave in.

Yes, both teams match day officials were making it clear that there was to be no alcohol permitted on the oval, there were a lot people there that they had to contain.

Agreed LM, we do have some clowns as well as all clubs do, I believe Turk has photos of yours so hook up with him and make examples of them. Great game to watch and congrats to your playing group in general for playing so well when it counted at the end of the year, your coach looks to be very good and needs to be congratulated, have you signed him for next year?

Cheers mate, it's in our constitution that we have to advertise, I'd like to see him stay on, we've had a great group of kids come through this year and would've really gained a fair bit out of this season, you can't buy experience.

It's no secret that we lost 26 players at the start of the year and really had to re-build, we came back just as strong this year and could have really made an impact if we had of got over the line Saturday. We were worried early on that we might not of fielded a B grade and were struggling big time, our B's performed admirably and our A's finished 4th for the 4th straight year.

Good luck to your guys for the rest of the year, well done to Golden Grove aswell, both are class acts and they have done a superb job after coming up from div. 6, congratulations on making it into the GF.

Griffen the rule is for only after the "Minor" round, once you lose a game during the year you forfeit the chance for the home final. As Plympton lost the 2nd Semi they would have the first choice if they wont but because their ground is not 100%, it will be played on a neutral ground which is at Campbelltown Oval.

Kookas..the rule book is open to interpretation it is not black and white, they were supposed to have fixed it last year but as usual failed it is not CLEAR
They refer to rule 25.27 and nowhere in this rule does it mention ovals or playing options or ability to host a game.

The only place where options for hosting a home game is mentioned is on page 33 under home finals 3rd dot point clearly says that teams that finish highest on the premiership table get the option to host a final providing blah blah blah

Its open to interpretation
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

It should say the team named as the 'home' team are able to host if the club/oval/faciliaties are appropriate...

The 'away' team have not earned the right and therefore the game should be neutral if the home team doesn't/can't have the home final...

quite right, the way the book reads one is the home team for the ground and the other is the home team for everything else on the day.

If WOS knock off CLG this week, don't you have to actually win the GF to go up?
