:ymsigh:

I'm going to repeat myself by reminding you all that today is day 9 of my no-smoking venture and today I've forgotten to stick a patch on, so needless to say Im not the happiest person around at the minute. :(

Anyhoo, I digress. What I meant to say was that I can't wait to get down to Portland and bang your bloody heads together. If it takes away my new found permanent angst for at least 10 seconds I'll be a happy woman

ok now back to some footy, end of the home and away season is only around the corner and its about this time we all start discussing who will win and be up there in the assoc medal, these are my tips in no particular order of who will be up there as i have only seen most sides twice and still only a couple once.

(Seaton) wanders- gun but have heard regularly challenges umpires
(Seaton) degabriel- played well against us first time round was a touch quieter second time round but stand out
(Iggies) pedler-takes plenty of marks forward and back uses the ball well would stand out to umpires
(Iggies) conelly- he cuts us to peices every time really smooth moover, very underated
(PAOC) cleggett- again killed us both times and takes big grabs that stick in umpires heads
(PAOC) DeVries - also takes plenty of grabes in the back half and is a monster so all umpires are seeing is him
(CBC) puccini- kicked plenty of goals as a small forward pretty flashy may catch umpires attention
(CBC) douglas- quality player IMO no douglas, no CBC
(portland) granlese-had a great start to the year never back chats and as a captain umpires would like him,
(portland) moody- on baller who has kicked plenty of goals, when on stands out like dogs balls
(para Hills) hanson- gun forward come onballer again takes good grabs and gets plenty of it when in the guts
(Para Hills) flynn-sinodinos - gun CHF that kicks big goals
(smosh) Porplycia- although cant win it due to suspension seems to always get in the best for smosh
(mitcham) dont really no any players
(Scotch) again dont no much about them and dont really seem to have any standouts.
(kilburn) dont think any one can get near enough votes from only winning one game

Its all good for you Sturtman understandably as the Port Magpies 18s coach is a Portland boy........
I do care, why shouldn't i ? i do look at the best interest of the lad involved & our club for your information, if i didn't i wouldn't be doing my job would i?
You think the whole team was told to have a rest, well you talk out your ar$e, if that was the case we would of been told that directly from Port when we phoned them but wasn't.
Instead of trying to be a smart ar$e Sturtman get your facts right, i have alot of contacts at Port, that doesn't mean i expect any favours. ( just honesty & thought for the player involved, ( maintain his confidence not lose it )
Why tell a player to allign himself with an Amateur Club when he's not going to be sent back there? ( waste of time, just miss a week or 2 & find your attitude & form on the training track )

As far as the conspiracy your on about Sturtman have you heard about the one involving the Director of umpires against our coach?
Evidence has been supplied by 3 umpires & its in the hands of an SAAFL deligate, it will be handed over to the SANFL very soon if theirs no satisfactory outcome, our coaches patience is running out with the SAAFL.
Watch this space.

Flanigan from mitcham would get votes quick on baller/forward who has kicked plenty of goals. lassett also know votes getter will be up there.

Slots It Through wrote:No Mercy the player in question played in the U18s at Port in his last game.Of those 22 players there were 4 players who were given permission to play locally, and your player was on of them. Players went and played for Salisbury, Salisbury North, Port Districts and Seaton.
From that it hardly sounds like there is favourtism to Portland and Port Districts.
Reality is if the player is keen to stay at Port (and i'm pretty sure he is) he will play finals for the reserves or the U18s at the Magpies, so he shouldnt come into your finals calculations.

You know damn well he was told on the bye weekend he can't play for Seaton, after our discussion with Mr Thiele at Ports he was then given permission to play. The following week in which Port played Sturt ( weekend gone by ) he was not selected by Port & told he can't play at Seaton. The others played
As for finals if the player ( as stated in previous post ) isn't selected for Port, he can play for his assigned local club if qualified to do so.

This has already been discussed. Wanders, Degrabriele and Fenney will be moved on by hodges and co at the end of the season if they dont lift there attitude. Hodges and co will not stand for selfish footballers. Who are the players you have heard of Wilfred???
While on the topic of Medal James from seaton would have to be a big chance. Is consistently in the best for seaton.
Portland big game this week would hate to be travelling to Scotch last round for a must win game to make the 5.

Had enough of hearing certain people bagging Seaton and their coaching staff. From what I know certain players have come back to the club or put off retirement due to the current coach and the direction the club is heading towards. The posts about players leaving is starting to get pathetic, start cementing your own back yards because as I read it Seaton are in the 5 at this point in time and has had a prominant spot in major finals over the past 10 years. The club is clearly in a re-building stage and the coach from what I have seen and heard is a major factor in getting the club back to where is has been for a substantial time. In regards to the umpires, of the games I have seen there are 2 kids out there, every week, yes it is a concern considering the SAAFL have stipulated that there would be a junior umpire along with a senior umpire for all A3 games, a conspiricy no, poor management by the SAAFL yes.

I would get my facts right before I started bagging any poster on this forum as to who YOU think they are as YOU may very well be suprised and end up with your foot in your mouth.

Play on.........
