Bit like when Ingle Farm joined in 1989 in A6 and the A7 Premier (Para District Uniting) missed out on promotion to accommodate them.

D6 Ladder after Round 16
31 - West Croydon
28 - Woodville South
24 - Ingle Farm
22 - Brahma Lodge
11 - Trinity OS 50.96%
------------------------------
10 - Mawson Lakes 45.29% (-5.67)
10 - Fitzroy 41.44% (-9.52)
10 - Houghton Districts 41.31% (-9.65)
08 - Mitchell Park 42.70% (-8.26)
06 - Adelaide Lutheran 39.23% (-11.73)

D6 Round 17
Brahma Lodge v Woodville South
Fitzroy v Mawson Lakes
Ingle Farm v Houghton Districts
Mitchell Park v Adelaide Lutheran
Trinity OS v West Croydon

D6 Sliding Doors
West Croydon: If West Croydon didn't have motivation enough to win the flag, then the possible influx of SFL clubs would surely have fired the belly!

Woodville South: If the Cats lose to Brahma Lodge Saturday, then it sets up a blockbuster Round 18 clash next week against Ingle Farm!

Ingle Farm: If the Dogs fail to get the points Saturday, then they could potentially finish in 4th position, given their slightly poorer percentage.

Brahma Lodge If Brahma can upset Woodville South, then they are almost certain to finish in 3rd spot and earn the double chance.

Trinity OS: If Trinity OS want to be a contender, then they need to prove Rd 8 was no fluke, or risk sitting this finals series out.

Mawson Lakes: If Mawson Lakes lose, then D7 next year is a seriously strong possibility. Another failed season would put pressure on the coaching staff at Lakes.

Fitzroy: If Fitzroy win, then I would expect them to finish 5th. The 'Roys have done well to fight out of relegation territory.

Houghton Districts: If there was any player who could single handily turn a sides season around, then its Cam Schutz, whose return has seen the Raiders return to the winners list and back into finals calculations.

Mitchell Park: If Mitchell Park want to be any chance of staying in D6, then they must beat Adelaide Lutheran this week. Parkers percentage slightly better than the two sides above them, if they can win and win well, then may be the difference come seasons end.

Adelaide Lutheran: If Lutheran thought D6 was going to be a walk in the parklands, then they were way off the mark! Even if they win their last two games, their poor percentage finds it unlikely they'll climb out the bottom 2.

D6R Ladder after Round 16
30 - Woodville South 75.85%
30 - West Croydon 75.15%
20 - Brahma Lodge 62.19%
20 - Ingle Farm 57.04%
20 - Mitchell Park 56.61%
------------------------------
18 - Trinity OS 56.61%
14 - Adelaide Lutheran
04 - Mawson Lakes
02 - Fitzroy
02 - Houghton Districts

D6 Round 17
Brahma Lodge v Woodville South
Fitzroy v Mawson Lakes
Ingle Farm v Houghton Districts
Mitchell Park v Adelaide Lutheran
Trinity OS v West Croydon

D6R Sliding Doors
West Croydon: If the Hawks want to be considered a genuine contender this year, then beating the reigning premiers away is the best way to show it.

Woodville South: If the Cats can beat Brahma Lodge, then they need to beat them by plenty to boost their percentage, or risk being jumped in the last round by the Hawks.

Brahma Lodge If Brahma lose to Woodville South this week, then they will run a serious risk of putting 3rd spot in jeopardy heading into finals.

Ingle Farm: If the Dogs can beat Houghton this week, then they will have secured another finals berth.

Mitchell Park: If any side was underestimated this season, then it is Mitchell Park, who off the back of winning their first 4 games have set themselves up for a shot at D6R finals this year..

Trinity OS: If Trinity OS want to have any chance of defending their title this year, then they need to beat West Croydon on Saturday.

Adelaide Lutheran: If Lutheran want to impact this division this season, then they can win their last two games and ruin someone's finals aspirations.

Mawson Lakes: If Mawson Lakes can win this weekend, then it will be the most wins for the side in a season since 2014, and will finish out of the bottom two.

Fitzroy: If Fitzroy had anything to smile about, then it's their draw in the last two rounds, with two very winnable games.

Houghton Districts: If the Raiders feel like it's been a very long tough year, then don't worry - only 2 games to go!

Nice write up again Zartan. Best one yet, easy to read not full of diplomacy. You rightly stated that Fitzroy could make the 5, but if they lose their last 2 and we beat Luthies then they could actually get relegated on percentage with 10 points. They have beaten a top 4 team and Trinity have drawn with the top team. So it would be tragic if it happened but the bottom 6 are their own biggest enemies but let's face it, who would want to finish 5th, just means you have to train two more nights to end your season. :D

Glad you boys agree with me that it would suck to not be promoted when you have earn't it due to another team entering the comp above you.
BTW, i had nothing to do with Ingle Farm in 89 and was not even playing SAAFL. Wouldn't even have a clue who Para District United were.
More of a pop than a bang EV, but hey, whatever excites you mate......

To be fair, if they win it's a massive result for them - means they stay one win behind IFFC, and a serious chance to finish 3rd and grab the double chance.

In other news, Ingle Farm kicked 9 goals to 1 in the second quarter to overturn a deficit and lead by 6 goals at 1/2 time..

Robb Stark being saved for the 2nd half perhaps, has spent majority of the game on the pine..
