Its all good for you Sturtman understandably as the Port Magpies 18s coach is a Portland boy........![]()
I do care, why shouldn't i ? i do look at the best interest of the lad involved & our club for your information, if i didn't i wouldn't be doing my job would i?You think the whole team was told to have a rest, well you talk out your ar$e, if that was the case we would of been told that directly from Port when we phoned them but wasn't.
Instead of trying to be a smart ar$e Sturtman get your facts right, i have alot of contacts at Port, that doesn't mean i expect any favours. ( just honesty & thought for the player involved, ( maintain his confidence not lose it )
Why tell a player to allign himself with an Amateur Club when he's not going to be sent back there? ( waste of time, just miss a week or 2 & find your attitude & form on the training track )![]()

As far as the conspiracy your on about Sturtman have you heard about the one involving the Director of umpires against our coach?
Evidence has been supplied by 3 umpires & its in the hands of an SAAFL deligate, it will be handed over to the SANFL very soon if theirs no satisfactory outcome, our coaches patience is running out with the SAAFL.
Watch this space.

CBCOC v SMOSH West Lakes - Need SMOSH to lose the rest of their games, so go CBCOC!
Para Hills v [b]Scotch OC - Think they might suprise PH, should be a good contest.

PAOC are CLEARLY the best side in the competition. Portland are over-rated, Seaton are the quiet achievers, CBCOC are next best behind PAOC, Iggies on their day are good but when they are off they come back to the field, Mitcham have over-achieved this year, SMOSH hit and miss, Para Hills a disappointing year (losing 2 games we should have won would see us in the race for the 5)...........

Gee that really gives a young player confidence and keeps him fit and in form to not play any footy. Good way of loosing young gifted players from our game at an age when they are easily swayed to other areas in life. Maybe someone from Alberton way can give me a SATISFACTORY answer????
The player in question is a Port Adelaide Magpies player first and foremost. He signed a contract at the start of the season, saying he is with the Port Magpies.
There are some strict guidelines in regards to training sessions (including recovery sessions). If you miss them and there is no real reason then you can expect to be penalised.
The player you are referring to is very talented, but would admit himself that he has done the wrong thing.
Its also not the first time this player has done it this season.
There is also another gifted player who will probably be drafted at seasons end in the same boat this weekend.
The rule is the same for all players. All very well to be talented, but you also need to be disciplined and commited as well.
I'm all for TEAM RULES & DISCIPLINES & i understand the lads signed with Port Magpies.
I also understand that all players are told to allign themselves with an SAAFL Club for obvious reasons ( being dropped, disciplined, lack of form etc )
This lad was dropped twice for the same reason earlier in the year yet was told to go back to his Amateur Club & play.
Why was he allowed then but not now? Has it got to do with the 4 game qualifying rule put in place & the SAAFL club involved?
In saying that he had 2 games under his belt with his Amateur League Club prior to the bye last week of the SANFL.
His SANFL coach told him he can't play the week of the Port bye & the following week with his Amateur Clubwhich would of given him the 4 games to qualify if in need for finals ( if not required by Port of course )
The lads Amateur League coach questioned the reason with his SANFL Club for him not being allowed to play the week of the bye as he thought it was in the best interest of both party's for form & confidence to play, the club agreed & let him play.
That gave him 3 games & now his SANFL Club have done a complete backflip on it, so he can't qualify by playing his 4th game this week.
I wonder what the real reason is???
I bet if he was alligned to Port Districts or Portland things would of been completely different.

tomich was really good for iggies as was pedler (we kept kicking the ball down his throat) big stephan white went down with a calf very early on in the peice and would pressume he will miss 1 or 2 tom car out for the the year with a torn hammy, even undermanned iggies played good tough footy and are imo a genuine contender,
on a possitive note, the thunder had 5 blokes come back in on the weekend who have had a reasoably long stint on the side lines and all got through unscaved next week we plan on unleashes the big turtle tommy lipson on CBC and hopefully Another big forward to do some damage.was also great to see the Iggies boys hang around for a drink or 2 and a chat imo looks good on the club

I heard one of Portlands 'big' forwards did some damage on the weekend and jagged 5 goals after a month on the sideline?
He must be a smokey for the association medal now?

dead right fisty. i definatly think ronny had shrunk the no 6 guernsey has nothing to do with the weight gain of the player, must have put it in the dryer.

Not to mention the pants are way too small. Thats to make sure the little fella downstairs looks a little fuller.
