Both boys suffered a serious concussion 1 being worse then the other and requiring st johns workers attending to him, and having to wait 40 odd minutes for an ambulance to arrive before they could move him.

The good news is that player 1 has been released from hospital only suffering a nasty concussion and player 2 also had a serious concussion, a nasty whip lash and has slowly regained feeling to his spine and legs and i think has also been released after test came back all ok.

It is Player 1's bday today but sadly he couldnt remember when his bday was nor why he was lying on the ground lol coming to one of the 1st things he asked was "who strapped my shoulder already"

Well thats great to hear Im glad to hear the boys are OK as im sure so are all the other posters
on a brighter note atleast you wont have to buy a birthday cake as he has no idea just tell him it was last week :D

Apparently after finding out it was his birthday he asked his dad what present he got. Then his dad asked him what he wanted. Good to hear to no long term damage was done and they're both out of hospital ok.

 the doctors told him hes to try stay awake till about 1am so he though whoo hoo i can still go out and celebrate but then they told him no drinking so he was abit shattered by that lol

Trinity hopes these boys have a speedy recovery.

And if anyone from Heccies could tell me if indeed it was one of their players that got hurt also?

Good to hear everyone's okay after that. Gotta hate head collisions.

BTW - any TOS'rs out there will be interested to hear that Brad Perry is cleaning up in the Riverland B grade comp at Loxton North. Has managed BOG in the first two games and was named third best today - but should've been BOG again.
Slick mover. If only he'd commit himself to playing at a higher level, he'd fit right into the Panthers' A grade side..

pretty dissapointing to lose to mitchell park today after the siren all because there umpire was too busy standing down near the goals instead of being up on the mark. then the big man tucky goes to have a shot after the siren for the win and the mitchell park player goes over the mark to smother the kick. after trying to argue our case with the umpires they virtually admit to making a mistake but decided they wouldnt change there decision..when is the leauge going to look at making sure all umpires have had some kind of training i know its only div 6 reserves football but when it cost teams matches its just not right.

I don't believe any Heccies players were injured at all in the incident. You may be confused with the player from the high school match on the adjacent oval who snapped his forearm while the amobs were treating the Trinity players. When the trainers saw the ambos on the oval, they casually wandered over and asked if the ambos could also look after the kid with the busted arm. Was a busy day for SA Ambulance out that way!

Was a pity the game had to be abandoned as it was a high quality contest with 13 goals kicked in the first quarter. The SAAFL rules state that a match must be completed in its entirety regardless of any delay in the play. However it reached 2:05 pm before the injured players were moved from the ground and ultimately the decision was made between umpires, captains and coaches to abandon and allow the A grade game to get underway. Only 1 quarter had been played and had the B's gone on much longer, it would have been dark before the A's could finish.

Some B grade players were not overly happy with the decision as both sides wanted to get the win but surely common sense prevailed.

Do others agree that the correct decision was made given the circumstances?

How one sided is this division this year! You'd have to have a punt on CLG vs BL in the Grand Final, although I'd love to see Lockley's in there. Other than that, Hectorville will be competitive but the rest may as well shut up shop. It's been a while since there's been such a dramatic difference between the top and the bottom of the ladder in Div 6.

what a long day 2day. b grade got delayed by 5mins before the match to fill a pot hole/sprinkler head and then the sickening incident. we could hear the clash of heads from the sideline. there was no heccies player involved. from what i heard, player 1 had brain fluid coming from his nose and was frothing from the mouth! and player 2 had tingling down his legs and couldnt clench one of his hands. player 2 didnt move the whole time during the delay. really good to hear they were ok.
there was talks of finishing the 2nd quarter and then playin 2x8min quarters but the time delay was too long.
was good for heccies A grade to get a win. always tough travelling to trinity and then to remain focus after the incident. Also was dissapointing that we had to use the boys n girls toilets as changerooms! really enjoyed playing against trinity. good intensity and the trinity played in very good spirit.

CLG for sure we were very undermanned (no excuse) but they were just awsome to some it up! dont know if they just had a day out or they are up to that standard all the time but i would go as far as to say they would be the best side i have played against for years. i thought lockleys were tall pfft they have nothing on CLG and they run like rovers and all day! harvey is still there go2 man and he does it well a little goal hungry but a still great player there full forward is also a gun and a great kick for goal, one of there ruckmen rested forward for the last half and bobbed up with 5 last half goals and they get alot of drive off there half back line all in all they are a great side no doubt about that.

Obviously CLG have shown over past couple years they are great side and Paralowie having gone thru Div 7 without really raising a sweat. Both sides havin qualtiy key forwards and pacy on ballers. Whoever makes better use of the footy will come out on top i think. May well be decided by under a kick

Rumor has it Paralowie will be very undermanned today with several missing through injury and the likes. Expect them to be competitive still but not sure if a win is on the cards.

we thought we were undermanned after picking the team thursday night and it only got worse sat with between thurs night and sat 3 more pulling out and all front line players but again no excuse as CLG were awsome.

doesnt help when your A grade play 2short and the B grade play with 21 yep the B grade play with a full side and the A grade play 2 short if any1 can work that out please explain it to me as i'm at a lose to get my head around it.
