Will have to be a package deal - buy one, get his brother for the same price. They must be getting pretty desperate.

The reason I have this username and you don't is because I'm not talking about the Etteridge boys EM

if adelaide uni have 9 sides or something, why would they invest in a clubroom, consider the revenue intake of 9 teams coming back to the club
why give all that revenue to the havelock or wherever they go now??
has it ever been consider to build behind the grandstand on uni oval??
Has been - several problems that include the fact it's on Adelaide City Council parklands, the attached grandstand is heritage listed and any upgrades must not change its amenity and heritage value and, as a club, we're not that rich.
We've built a small bar/clubroom in the old upstairs room that overlooks Uni Oval - this will increase revenue a bit.
We're now at the Cumberland Arms too.

Great to see the coach in there doing the laps as well and leading by example. Not sure if he is being a great leader or if Mrs G has told him to tighten up the rigbut none the less good early signs all round.
I seriously doubt they are in as much trouble as people are suggesting and there oval is truely now a great place to play footy. 2012s pain will bring about long term gain

You guys (Broadview) also poach/attempt to poach players from clubs in divisions below you who don't pay. Don't cry poor when country clubs try to outbid you for your own players.Shirtfront wrote:wristwatcher wrote:I had a little look and a touch of the occasional heckle at Gazas session last night also. We'll have to wait for the clearances to become official, but as reported so far, if Gaza have lost 1st Ruckman, 3 - 4 class onballers, CHF and a few others, you'd have to say they are not in terrific shape, and with the Messenger putting the stories out that they are on the bones of their ass, the big $$ might not be around to get the players to replace them? If they are chasing players from Div 4 & 5 adn 5R, it'll be a rude awakening for those players when they come up against a Div 1 side like St Peters or Henley, and the ever growing Premiership Favourite in Sals Nth.
Don't worry we have lost our share over the off season to country footy, its a bloody hard battle to fight, but we do have some really strong Under 18's coming through, last 2 premierships in Under 18 comp, and depth is strong. Gaza's B grade last year was a joke, so depth would have to be a serious worry for them.

Surely the life members will soon get sick of propping the club up financially. You can only get so much water out of the well and it tends to dry up after a while.
