If u want the home final you have to have about 70% of your bar Sa brewery products and your ground has to be up to standard. I don't think you will get a Saturday final as you get league umpires and there's not enough to do all the games on a Saturday but you can always ask. Neutral ground I think they try to find a ground half way between the 2 teams but also look where a game is already being played so a club doesn't have to open the ground for 2 other teams
We're on this journey together, One Heart, One Club and they will Never Ever Tear Us Apart.

Why is it a joke? Can't produce players from thin air mate - if you want to play a 10-a-side game then ring the League and tell them its back on. I suspect you are pissed because you thought you were going to have an easy win - tool

A bit harsh mate!! Maybe he was just looking forward to playing like most of us do. This is a hard time of year to cop forfeits coming into finals. Understand you guys can't get a side together but on the other hand how can the Pooraka lads earn themselves a beer now :D That's what it's all about!!

Mate I've played my fair share of times with 14,15,16 blokes and get flogged the difference is we don't take the easy way out and forfeit. I do feel sorry for them but I feel more sorry for my team mates who have now played one game in tje last 3 weeks after para hills also forfeited against us. These guys train pay their subs and don't get to bloody play lately. And I'm not dumb enough to think we would have had an easy win, it's that complacency that gets you in trouble.

easy way out - that is a BS accusation mate - as I said 10 players available vs. 21+ is hardly worth wasting everyone's time. If we had 16 (or even 14-15) then it would have been game on. Besides the League rules state unless you have 14 players you can't play anyway. We are not the only club stuggling with numbers - maybe the League could spend some $$$ on attracting people to the game instead of internal politics and State football carnivals

I would have to agree with both sides here. MKore so with WT. I dont think its a case of soft option that CBC pulled the pin. I also see how crap it is to train and so on and only play no more than a couple of games in so many weeks. If Pooraka were seriously threatening for finals then you would cop it and move on (if % wasnt an issue). Pooraka might not need to worry about CBC and PH next year as the may drop to Div 4. Why not still get together as a group and watch your B grade have a beer and a BBQ. No harm in keeping a team togther as the season is almost finished and look into next year.

PH is a surprise though. Even though they havent had a good year they still have got on the park on Saturdays and played on. A they are playing FP at 2:15 and they have a club legend playing his final game this week? Could that be a reason? Dont know.

Yeah were still getting everyone together at the club. Now looking forward to ending a pretty dissapionting year against you guys. Not sure how we will end up in div 4 though? A's currently sitting in a finals position.

Yes PH and CBC to drop is what i was saying. You guys had a good win against POS. CBC pull the pin and some significant losses so i can understand that the past 4-5 weeks havent been the greatest for you. To get a good decent win over PH (if thats how it was going to end up) would have given you guys confidence into next week. Its a toss of the coin when you have a week off or not. Week off means you are refreshed and fired up but on the other hand complacentcy and fitness is the other.

Well it was a grand old day down at thunda park. We have never beaten Mitcham since being in the same division. They got out to a 4 goal lead at 1/4 time and we were able to get back and be in front by 2 or 3 points at half time. Amazingly we were still not able to put 4 1/4's together and having the outs that we did was a huge effort. I will say that it was a cracker game. Mitcham kicked the first 2 in 3 mins after the main break which was worrying but the boys stepped it up again and pretty much controlled the game from there. Highly regard the Mitcham coaching group. Great bunch and coming in for a beer afterwards was great (even though after the game i approached the Mitcham playing group and the young lad 17 i think it was not too sure said What the F_ck does this C_nt want tell him to get F_cked) when all i wanted to do was offer them a beer afterwards and thank them for the game. It seems as though its a trend up there with their previous A grade captain doingf the same thing but wouldnt shake hands. Dont think Mitcham coach promotes that sort of filth.

POS vs GG was a lot closer than i thought it would be. POS obviously beuing able to play at home get the numbers to fill a side (from last weeks disgraceful show, i know coming to the port is crappy at the best of times but come on). Smosh and Seaton is another close one i didnt realy think would end up like. Seaton over the pastr couple of weeks ahev really pushed the higher sides. Injuries and general stuff have caused them to slip throughout the year but it just goes to show they are capable. This week will be a big round. FP got the week off last week and will play SMOSH in what will be match of the round if not before the finals showdowns. Mitcham have POS (opportunity for POS to pull the pin?), PH vs Seaton- Will there even be a game for Seaton?, GG vs CBC - well CBC pulled the pin and thats it so GG get the week off before the 1st week of finals. Good or Bad thing? Then there is Portland vs Pooraka. Pooraka have pushed a few sides this year and have beaten the likes of GG, POS and Seaton i think this year (gladly be corrected). So another tough one for us leading to our 1st fianls series in over 4 years. Pooraka have run and talent. We need to be on our best to not let this one slip and loose momentum for the finals.

Spoke to the League last week who advised that it is not an automatic disqualification after three forfeits - it is a guideline for the League to make a decision. They said that given there is one round left they would allow us to play. If I was Golden Grove I wouldn't be counting on a week off just yet - we only forfeit when we have no other option - a week is a long time in footy

GG were well in control early until a bus load of Pembroke B graders lobbed just after quarter time and their influence changed the game. Only the best were sent back and they clawed their way back in. Mind you, we had barely 18 for the start as well...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

They did exactly the same to us early on in the year and then again the week before last. Dont really like the idea to be honest. Seems to be a trend where they have no problems doing it when its their home game yet too hard when its an away game or against a top 5 side
