Mate would love to have him but cant compete with the $$$ he will get offered. Probably less likely as Adam appears to be retirining ... Hope not but likely.

Brett would own div 4

Yeah agree with you there on both points. Trying to compete with country clubs who can offer $600 a game is difficult...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

im over it all.. we lost they won.
bring on div 3 next year, might see u there the year after turk

Hope so Johno..but you guys might be in Div 2 by then ;)

Hefty... absolutly correct it was all us.. I am not condoning it in any way shape or form and we have co-operated fully with SAAFL in bringing the offender to order .. but IMO there was some provocation, not from the Grovers but the umpiring standard over those 2 games at Harpers Field, stats dont lie.... and at no time have I had a crack at the GGFC over the issue...but I'm interested, did you see the incident or are you acting on 2nd hand info.

From my POV the respect that exists between our clubs thanks to blokes like Choccies is excellent and I will do everything I can to keep it that way.
Having said that my personnel view is that we were "umpired" out of those two games and that's based on the 7 point total margin, the stats on free's and standing there watching both those games in terrible conditions

Again well done to both Pooraka and Golden Grove on going to Div 3....again the stats/facts dont lie.
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

to say that is pretty unfair Turk and sounds like you think you guys deserve to be in GG's position.
I have no involvement with either club and didnt see the game but im sure there would have been missed oportunitys on both sides. Points that should have been goals. High tackles on both sides that were probs missed. Sure the umpires make mistakes but I reckon they would make less then the players would during a game.

Fisty... again this is my view only and does not represent the views of Greenacres FC.
and you are asolutely correct without doubt there were missed opportunities on both sides... ask Geelong about umpire decisions in close games....
opinion and bumholes.....we all have one ;)

So you saying we were "umpired in" then turk ??? I honestly think that is an unfair representation of the effort our boys put in. Look, in the end no-one deserved to lose either of those games but someone had to. Who took these stats by the way ?

As for the knee incident that only you seem to be going on about Jonno, get over it or go and play netball, it was a grand final mate, maybe your boys should have been as hard.

Kneeing someone in the head isn't being hard farmer.... maybe thats the way they did it back in the old days at Ingle Farm because they knew no better but the game doesn't need it and a team up by 10 goals doesn't need to do it.

agree the kneeing wasnt called for, but i wonder how the incident started. me thinks a GG player took flattened Kane Moore after he took a mark to line up for his 8th goal, that was a pathetic effort from that player. always the case of it takes two to tango.

anyway as a former player of the bulls, you done yourself and the club proud. should of won by 80pts , totally out classed GG in every way. ditts, nubbo and Frank Scott i take my hat off to you 3, you all have hung around in the hard times when anything could of happened to this great club without your hard work the club wouldnt of been able to achieve what they did. and wattsy gotta love you mate.

Lets get this right, I was going to be lining up for my 9th. :D

Choccies ..I am not getting into a he said she said especially with you....my gripe is not with you or your club or your posters

I feel much the same as anybody else that gets beaten in a close game ....ripped off ;)

Stats are taken by the same bloke every week for the last couple of years ...why? do you want to try and get him to cross over? ;)

Luke Nathan won our Best and Fairest on Friday night by a small margin from Luke Radley and then Adam Ohara.

Mark Randell was a worthy winner in our B's.

Anyone else had their awards?

GG awards were Friday nite and results as follows

1st: J Kuhndt (3 in a row)
2nd: T Sheppard
3rd: J Boxer

Awesome effort by Jimmy who bolted in the B&F!

On a side note...what monkey put together the Div 4 Team of the Year in the budget?? How can T Shep not make the team?? He won the association medal!! It's like leaving Dane Swan out of the All-Australian team!

Won the association medal but not your own??? Can easily happen because umpires see things differently, but I take your point.

Did you put up your crack at Team of the Year Hefty?

Damaged his knee early on, tried to rest it and then come back, but had to yield to surgery in the end. Missed 8 or 9 games all up and we really missed his impact. Should be pretty hungry to have a good season next year I would think.
