Good point - if clubs can afford it then why not.

I only see one problem and that is if it causes disharmony or division. If paid players put the effort in on the track and support club functions and fundraisers like other player I don't see this problem arising.

Yeah thats fair enough, but they are internal issues for clubs to worry about, if they choose to go down that path. I'm talking mainly of people from a club getting stuck into other clubs for doing it. Couldn't see why it should bother them.
I'm proud of you fellas. You all kept your head on a swivel, and that's what you gotta do when you find yourself in a vicious cock fight!

if people complaining about how much players get paid in div 6, look at how much money gets dished out in div 1 & some 2 clubs, players that sit on the bench for the whole game still get paid , then go out to country league and there alot more $$$

dont see how clubs can complain about other div 6 clubs paying 1 or 2 players , there nothing stopping them from paying players,

if you dont have the money get the pokies   or traditional way of sponsors

I dont think amateur players should be paid at all. Only if you earn it in the best players.

You over-simplify with your fiscal advice Boldie. It is probably easier for a sporting club to attract sponsors rather than a standalone football club. Although our Vice President has done a tremendous job this year.

Ok the Victor boys playing for glory are they..and Harvey on nothing ..you can tell me Bentley who was on close to 3 hundreed at Bridgewater last year thought hey I will play for squat..same applies for Ohara..

Hope Valley all playing for nothing.

But when push comes to shove all teams are trying to jump divs and if you have to pay you have to pay.
