To both teams on the weekend all the best in your attempts to get the silverware. Both have had great seasons and I am sure will be comfortable in Div 3. Hope the weather is kind and its a good game to watch and play in.

Don't worry Jimbob, I've already threatened to chain him to a tree out in the paddock..... I have over 200 signatures of people who will help too...

As far as I'm aware the league will have WESLOs on the main gate, as well as roaming the outer side for that exact reason. Good luck mate.

Well its GF weekend and I will start by saying good luck to both Pooraka and Golden Grove

We will miss you in Div 4 (like a hole in the head) but all the best in Div 3.

I still have my Dragon tail between my legs and my snout still stings from the smack it got with the rolled up newspaper at Harpers Memorial Refrigerator and Swimming Pool last Saturday.

To clear up a couple of things... yes SAAFL advised us Monday Night that an umpire has laid a report about one of our spectators allegedly assulting him...and I also wish to thank the GG poster that had it on this site before we had even washed the mud of our boots and the egg of our face, thats the sort of thing that really helps build co-operation between clubs, thanks a heap your a big help.

Umpires...I do not usually comment on them but when you loose 2 games by a total of 7 points and the free kick count is 46 to 23 against there is something amiss...the influence they have is enormous and the SAAFL should look closer at how the game is being affected.

End of rant...
remeber if you cant "get a dragon up ya".....then get A BURRA INSTEAD

I think Fitzroy will miss Pooraka & GG to- healthy rivalry between the 'Roys & the Bulls, & in the C's, I always dreaded playing GG, as it meant a hard day at the office, so to win our last encouter will stick in my memory.
As for Poorak, I always played my best footy against the, & will definately miss those encounters- somethin like 3 BoG's (or near enough) against them :(

From our point of view the 4 new teams next year couldn't be better (other than Elizabeth which is a fair trek).
Scotch, Heccies and Kilburn are all very manageable though!

Bit harsh I think mate. Bottom line is if the incident didn't happen there'd be nothing posted. I don't think the post by the GG lad was intended to denigrate the Greenaces Football Club in any way, more the individual concerned. And to be honest too, the umpires in both games were more than decent in my opinion. But that's all in teh past, we have a huge game this weekend and the boys are pumped and ready to give it a red hot crack !!
