Q. What do you get when you have two Pultney Spectators submit two statement to Tynte Street, an Umpire that doesn't even know why he was at the tribunal last night because he saw nothing and a North Haven player not even knowing what the report was for and consequently pleaded not quilty to an incident as far as he knows never happened.

A. 8 weeks, because once again Tynte St. love there College boys. How do you give a bloke 8 games who has never been reported, a catholic school teacher, new father and one of the nicest blokes you will ever meet and based on their word against his. Poor, very poor.

is that the truth , beacause that is the most rediculous thing i have heard since lance try and explain pythagoras to me.
Is there anything the football club can do to take this matter further as there is no evidence and no umpires were aware of what happened

I dont condone or agree with putting in complaints or investigations after the fact, but a broken jaw is a pretty bad injury, and it just doesnt happen by itself.

8 weeks is a harsh penalty, but if guys are getting 2 weeks for urinating on trees, and giving blokes 'love-taps', then its probably par for the course.

As for the reciever of the penalty, well, where there's smoke there's fire....

The letters of evidence were from 2 supporters, not players or members of the league. Basically my understanding is that several weeks after a game if anyone of your players gets hurt doing anything at football, work or socially you can pick a player out of a hat get two random supporters to write letters and the player gets eight games. There is no sense of justice or fairness at all at Amateur League. They have let personal prejudice and their monstrous egos dictate the behaviour of their organisation. The affairs and conduct of the Amateur League have no transparency whatsoever and are about as murky as the Port River. I personally believe that anyone in a postion in particular a paid position within the Amateur League should resign immediatly as they are in dereliction of duty by allowing this bias and uneven farce to continue. If I was the player concerned I would seek immediate legal advice to not only overturn the decision but to seek damages for tarnishing his credibility as a person and member of the community. As this could possibly damage future employment prospects.

Piccachu there is no course for appeal within amateur league.

Felch, it is claimed he has a broken jaw, a broken jaw that without question was not there at the conclusion of the game. The player continued to play and was talking absolutely fine after and druing the game. I have seen several broken jaws, some severe some less severe and none of them were able to talk as well as this bloke. The fact that the report wasn't laid till two weeks after the game is evidence enough.

That would just be too silly a statement Piccachu, the Amateur League would surely only deal with common sense and decency. They wouldn't just go on hear say with no physical evidence and take one persons word against the other.

Oh Yes they would, absolute disgrace.

I dont disagree with alot of what you say but why would they target the suspended player 2 weeks after the supposed event? If the player in question that has been reported is such a nice guy etc.Why would they single him out? I do think the Amateur league shouldnt operate like this i thought if all umpires miss it than it is play on.

so if i (a supporter of north haven or portland) watched a game with a friend and seen an incident that wasnt reported we would be able to send in a report. that is the impression im under i understand im probably wrong in saying this but is that the generall gist of what mr rowlands has been suspended on, and if no umpire or match day official. On what grounds was he convicted for

It seems as though there were two people who saw the incident and one player with an injury, with know clear cut evidence has to how it occurred. This is obviously enough to give a bloke 8 games. HOW do they justify that outcome.
