Cheers turk. Takes balls to come in our rooms after the game to shake my hand and say well done. Credit to you and your boys and especially the lads that hung around after the game for a beer or 2. Plenty more rewards for your blokes next year I reckon. You're definitly on the right path to success.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Dunno, I came up and quipped "Good day to be behind the barbie, mate".

Would have liked to stick around, but I didn't fancy waking up with the flu today. Congrats on the the promo BTW - GG continue to be a league force.

Could they have got further away from both clubs oval! Would be a decent oval to play on though.

You could bus-pool with the Pooraka guys, it's only 10 or 15 minutes away for you guys anyway, I personally like to travel a bit for a GF, nothing like the bus trip home after a premiership.......Golden moments.

Too many pubs on the way home from Alberton, would not get back to the club till Sunday! ;)

If the ground holds up as good as thebarton was on saturday then its great. Big day for both clubs.

I think it'd be fair to say what happened after the game is no reflection on the Greenacres Football Club. Their conduct has been second to none and I know that was a devastating loss for them and generally in society these days the actions of one person DOES reflect on the club but in this case I would hope that's not the case. turk and Johno will be all over this because it'd be a shame if one idiot undoes all the hard work they have done at that club.

If we get the rain we got friday you'll need a canoe, a 70metre radius from the bowling green to the centre square was underwater friday evening.

Think you would have found that most areas would have been underwater.

plenty of sunshine this week and some light rain towards the end of the week should be ok though.

I walked around it today and that section was still carrying a bit of surface water, the rest was in pretty good nick considering. Strangest thing though, there was a big bouquet of flowers laying down in the centre circle ??

I only have 1 memory of Alberton and that was Scotty Hodges in the '150 goal year' kicking about 12 or so against my Panthers there....

So hopefully they get erased and replaced this weekend ;)

In Scotty's defence I think people have been kicking bags against South for the better part of 20 years
