do you think they can win the appeal? it would be sad to see them get banned after the year they have had. especially if it was because of their supporters. how can 2 club officials stop what the supporters do???

The way the article reads you would think they wont win the appeal for the ban on this year. But you would think they could argue that they should be able to play next year if they could put things in place so the same things don't happen.

could they opt for another affiliation, gawler leagues??

Country leagues require fencing - council won't pay for it - ergo- this isn't an option at this point.

That's not a bad option Marbles, but whether the Gawler league want them to join is the main thing.

The BLG would laugh at that. Smithfield would get absolutely smashed in the BLG comp

To play in the BLG you need to fill 4 grades of football
Under 15,17 B's & A's
They also need netball teams in all grades and facility's to support this! Also your ground needs to be fenced in as they charge entry fee...

Thanks for that info fortheloveofthegame, We may have a case for fencing the ground due to the location of the ground

You can still 'fly the flag' for a team mate without going in guns blazing throwing hay makers.....

you remind me of the umpire holding up a red card that dont stop punches just like grabbing players dont stop punches flying the flag means different things to different clubs

you sit here and argue with me but after the second punch i would have been in and given one back noway ill sit by and let a team mate get bashed

Stupidest post of the year.

You are labelling a proud club with premierships galore in the lower grades as wimps and they occupy Div 2 in their A grade. Bit rich you calling them wimps, actually its pathetic. I guess that might be the difference between a sucessfull club and an unsucessful one. Its called discipline. Ive never played against a soft Flinders Park team in my career. Maybe if you attempted to use some of this discipline you may experience more sucess on field.
