LOL. I heard this too. rumour has it, there was a slap on teh A$$, followed by asking for her number. Her response, was well you can't have my number but you can see wednesday night at the tribunal. Hahahaha, fair enough too!

Thought they paid a couple of wishy-washy frees but overall were pretty good. And most improtantly, kept control of the game at all times in a pretty willing encounter.

Pretty average behaviour from a CLub official if found guilty.

a female umpire we had about 6 weeks ago gave a free kick against me for calling her love.

our umpiring on the weekend was terrible both ways, if the score wasnt so one sided the game really could have ended up being a blood bath, the umpires blatently refused to protect the ball players head (both ways)
there was 2 or 3 incidents that were called play on and if playing AFL players would have got 4 games min,
they werent deliberate tactics by players but FFS someones got there head over the footy and an opposing player bumps him front on in the head, it must be a free kick

Having said that, no amount of inclusions will help them if they continue to play the sort of insipid, uninspiring football they dished up on Saturday. Full credit to Scotch though, as they continually pressured the ball carrier and hardly missed a tackle all day. Their play certainly didnt reflect their current position on the table.

From what I heard, everyone from Scotch just fired on the day, and White from Iggies gave away no less than 10 25 meter penalties?!

The Mitcham game was a good one, and although we have improved, Para Hills certainly aren't the team they have been in previous years. Their forward line is still strong but their defence let them down, several kicks hit our forwards on the chest 30 out. We were kind enough to kick 14.26 which kept it respectable, but had control of the ball most of the game.

heard from a witness to the hosie incident after the game was completed he said well done to the female umpire who i have heard from several people did a great job and then told the other umpire he was a disgrace, the male umpire followed and pulled THE EDITOR up and said" would you like to retract that statement or do you want me to report you"THE EDITOR then responded again with "your a disgrace"
quite humerous i think :D

Just a thought why dont, we have the Academy umps paired up with an older more experienced ump, a mentor. If numbers are such a problem they could be shared over 2 divs. The umps could be rewarded for good performances by umpiring the higher div.

Re: goal umps i have never seen and heard (from other people) so many decisions get reversed. The field umps need to provide more support to the goal umps, stopping players from abusing them and give them better protection so these kids can make the decision they 1st thought. Players know they can persuade the goal umps decisions too easily. They give an inch the players take a mile.

Not sticking up for the umps but just trying to think of ways to improve the situation. Who umps the finals?

I hope ur not fishing for compliments ;)

DeViers is a gun. Hopefully he gets a job offer to good to refuse in the Bahamas come finals time.

We needed to take him out of the game high up on a wing or use a decoy. Worst result when the ball was in his area was a 30m spoil over the boundary line.

You guys isolated a lot of your players in dangerous zones which meant u were not kicking pack to pack and your blokes would win the 1 on 1's. I would like to say the bad kicking for goal was because of our pressure but really it was just bad football and your biggest weakness on the day. I thought Alby got the better in the ruck and was a return to form for him. Noticed you ran with a loose man in defence when we started to get a run on in 3rd and start of 4th qtr thought it was a very good move. First reaction for PAC is a handball out the back and run it over the line. I think its going to take a very defensive effort to get the choccies from u blokes. The Barton oval will suit u lads finals time.

Didnt recognise too many players from last years gf team either. Will go through undefeated this year. Anything less would b a sin. The rest of us playing for 2nd.

I think the ceo & the execitive com of saafl will be very unhappy that the directive was not inforced on the weekend that an older umpire & a young umpire pear up together.

On the umpires, has anyone noticed how often their white SANFL strip causes problems with clashes? At Para Hills on Saturday, Mitcham wore their white away guernsey with blue shorts and blue socks - if the shorts had been white, we would have had a real mess with the umpires, it was bad enough as it was.

Maybe the SAAFL should do some research before the game as to what colour strips clubs will be wearing and have the umpires change to orange where sensible to do so.

We had that problem last time we played Heccies - the orange strip clashed with theirs somehow and they ended up changing to the green tops.

No reason for them to start umpiring like green tops though

we had a massive problem with it on the weekend playing against kilburn in there away strip, some one should have cleaned the umpire up and claimed he thought it was a kilburn player, may have knocked some sence in to them ;)

HA na not fishing for anything. you actually tend to give an honest apraisal when you do choose to give it. just thought i'd get your thoughts. the ruck contests were interesting i think the ball ups were probably 50/50 but alby got the better of us around the ground.

on the new faces. from last years GF we have off the top of my head 8-10 changes. couple of new blokes, couple of guys who played b's pushing up. and a couple of guys not playing good footy and ending up in the magoos. probably about the same as most clubs.

just putting it out there (stiring sh*t) , but could Old iggies potentially miss the finals!?
they have Smosh/WL (H), Portland (A), Para Hills (H), CBCOC (A) their form at the moment doesnt have any of those games as a given. imo

Seaton have Scotch (a) Kilburn (h), Mitcham (a) PAC (H) seatons season could come down too PAC at home in the last game!
