LMA, the Div 8 side are on the look out for a full forward? ;)

He is playing C2 at Districts mate, they are looking quite good there's even talk they may be allowed inside the clubrooms this year

Not that ol chestnut again Boosh. They have built a nice enclosed BBQ area which could possibly double up as a C grade clubroom however.
AF, personally it is alot better time slot in Div 8 but too old for a change

Grammar, the difference between knowing your shit and knowing you're shit.... :)

Awkward.....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Ya hear this bull$hit all the time. Footy clubs are what you make of them. If someone don't feel a part of it, then it probably says more about that individual than the club itself.

not really...

Whoopsy (daisy)
Used to express acknowledgement of a minor accident, blunder, or mistake.

I'm guessing that whoopsie is an American version of the English whoopsy like the great color/colour debate of the late 1970's.

but enough twaddle, back to the footer.

Is go Unis one of the more lacklustre and less threatening barracking terms out there in the Amateur League?

I think our C-Grade will go alright this year however I think our D-Grade will just be making up the numbers, with about 10-12 blokes retiring from last year its hard to see the Ds bounce back.

I think that SMOSH and PAOC will be the favourites in Div 8, I'm very keen to see how our boys go in this grade, should be a good hitout round 1 against Mitcham at home. How did Mitcham's C grade go last season?

I'd back Broadview to beat SMOSH. I'm sure that it will be quite a competitive grade and am looking forward to it.

Definately won't play then ;)
Seriously though I believe we have 11 or 12 10.15 starts this year at Districts in the C's, with school sport and possible work committments I'm not sure how many if any of those I'll be able to play. So wouldn't rule out coming back, but it's a long shot.

Mitcham's C grade are a very good side. They made the prelim? last year and have a fairly young/quick side. I played against their D's last year and they weren't much chop.....from an outside POV I would say you would be more competitive against their D grade then their C grade.

yep made the prelim and should of made the grand final, they lost the prelim by less then a goal and think they kicked like 7-8 points in the last qtr.

We had a hit out against Salisbury's c and D grade on the weekend. They played their C grade in the first half and were all over us. Worked the ball well out of defense and too good in the middle.
The 2nd half they played their D grade and we were able to peg back the score line. Was good to get the first one out of the way, still a fair amount to come back in but if Saturday was anything to go by Salisbury look good, had great numbers for a trial. one more trial then the real stuff begins after easter, heap of work to do but looking forward to it!

Who is playing who in trials this wkend?

GG have Mitcham out at the burra dome which will give us a good guide as to whether we will be competitive against the top sides in Div 8. As I rate Mitcham fairly highly going on last years form and think they will finish top 3.
