another min of seven changes again this week
thats 16 changes after two rounds
new it was never going to be easy but it would be nice to put at least three quarters of the same team into two games in a road
the plus is the fact that 43 players have signed with the club and i have now seen everyone of them play except one who is still injured since the trial

really?!? So who's out... Warrior, Francis and Moore I assume are three due to injury...

Who's coming in?

in the end we had 13 players miss out
10 can not play either thru injury or work and 3 left out
good numbers on the track and a very good standard
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

absolutely sensational day for footy. Would be a great day for forwards. Will be a good game down at the cattery today against PNU. Absolutely itching to play but hope to see the lads get up today.

Solid 33pt win to the cats today to show they are going to be tough to beat at home this year!

Fought back a few times when PNU threatened to blow the game wide open, and managed to run over the top in the last kicking 5.9!!

Credit to PNU and a few of their blokes - the ruckman, the bald midfielder and their winger, worked tirelessly all day, just needed some more support IMO.

To the ovies lads, great fighting spirit and never say die attitude, enjoy the break, freshen up and get right royal keen for after the Easter break!!

Good watching the game today. Seeing big Owen slip into the Forward role nicely and Wrighty have a field day with 6 goals makes it a little easier to have the next 4 weeks off to leT the foot heal.

after the beating we got last week it was a great turn around today
the game was tight for most of the day with pnu getting out to a three goal lead before we found another gear and leveled at three quarter time the last quarter started off tight but the lads got their game together and ran away with the win
it was a well played game in good spirits and it was great to get another two points

you always hear about the standard of umpiring and nhow bad it is but i must say saturday we had a young umpire for nthe league do pur game.yes he missed a couple of frees but in the end i was impressed.he would have been lucky to be 17 and came into the rooms before the game and set the agendafor the game.fight and your off, mouth off and you get 25,and so on.he had the biggest set of nuts to go into rooms with his squeaky voice and say that but we made a stand that we would show him the respect that he showed us.thought he was good and in the end if you show the right respect you will get a pretty good job done.well done young man

light session tonight for the boys to run any of the niggles out after saturdays game
we then have the easter break which like every team i would think has came at a good time
hopefully be able to get some of the guys that are out through injury back after the break which will put pressure on for spots

dee man - with the numbers at the club, do you plan on rotating the line up so your average players miss games, but everyone who trains gets to play a game most weeks?
or are u just picking your best 22-25 (whatever it is) every week?

at this stage we have never had our best 25 on the park.every player has had a game and because of work and family commitments we have already made 16 changes in the first games.
every player is a valued clubman and i make sure we get game time into everyone.
every player has been taken off the ground at times to allow others ago, even the captains.
i dont believe we can give everyone as much time as they would like but i try to give everyone as much as a go as possible.
it will come to a point that we will have to think about picking teams to win but at this stage we of the redevelopement of the club the harmony, bonding and changing of the culture is more important
so far i have never even checked on scores till the last couple of a minutes in a game because we are trying to build something at the club that will last longer than a few years
we are trying to build for the people that will come over the next few years to play and take over the club

instead of training last night i sat around at the club with a group of the lads and had a good old chin wag while they had a couple of beverages
to me it was better than training on the track
learnt more about some of my team than i ever would watching them have a kick and catch
suggest all coaches do it and one stage or another
a great exercise
hey numbers, didnt see you take off but will see you next thursday
have a good break

Yeah, sorry went when you were talking to those Indian guys that were playing that tackling game. Have a good Easter Dee Man and all the other Ovies lads that read the forums. Looking forward to the Easter break as it means 1 less game I have to miss with my injury. Adelaide Uni at Adelaide Uni will be another tough game for the lads after the break but looking forward to watching how we go.
