I can see what youmean NM, but if it comes in quickly it's hard to get a run and a jump at the ball. Playing off someone is always playing with fire, it'sa fine line between getting it right and looking like a fool. That's why someone Pascoe's size is always a threat. I stood him a few years ago (he was playing D grade No Mercy) and the umps gave him some slack too. He may look slow but still moved quickly on occasion. I don'tthinkthe big fella will have any troubleholding down a pocket at the very least. Nice guy too.

I like the way TTG play as well. We had some good battles and their ability to link up was very impressive. Few real stars but a great team game.

You don't neccessarily need your best defender on him, just someone thats smart enough to play a little of him & get a run & jump at the contested mark. You don't want to try & out body such a big gorilla.
He's not going to beat any-one for pace.I don't think he's the player he was a few years ago & its only going to get harder for him with age & size.
Thats only my assumption tho.

NM agree with what you say about not trying to out body Pascoe. He hasn't been very mobile for the last few years but has still proven to be a headache for opposition sides. If the ball comes in high and direct he just stands tall and marks. When he does lead although it may be only for a couple yards and the delivery is perfect (as it should be in Div 1) then it is bloody hard to get around him to spoil. When he is having a shot his accuracy was very, very good.

If someone does run jump and spoil him, that is when the young crumber with pace comes into play. I have to agree with Andy on Pascoe still being able to hold down a forward pocket position and agree that he is a nice guy as well.

I can see the advantage & disadvantages having a bloke like big Lenny no doubt.
What has he kicked a year in his last three years?
I realise its hard to get around the big fella, but its not that hard to play a couple of yards off him & get a run & jump & punch.
Having someone that has good recovery ( 2nd efforts ) on him, they can then recover- run off- create & turn defence into attack in a blink of an eye & still leave Pascoe standing & i doubt wheather big Lenny has a 2nd effort & would bother chasing his opponent.
Players like that are a hinderence to their team, like (Place) for Seaton, he might kick4 goals, but he allows his opponent to set up from defence & the opposition kick 5 plus on the rebound.
I'd rather have fwds that can chase, tackle & pressure the opposition if they don't win posession.
I do rate Pascoe far more than i do (Place) obviously, as he's done alot more than Place has with his football.

Ha ha. Not my fault. Our full back decided to catch a wasp with his hand and missed that week. It shitted me because it took 8 weeks to get back into the foward line after that.

So did you ever play footy NM? You've got a rather negative attitude, was it always somebody else's fault? Why not tell us about who you played for?

Big Lenny only played a couple of games last year. He has a blood clot that could be a complication if he were to continue to play.

A shame cos he was such an influence both on the field and off. Hopefully he will be around the club this year to help out the younger guys. His experience is invaluable.

he's a versatile player. Can play up forward or down back. Strong as an ox. Not only is he valuable on field, he also is of major importance at trainings given his background in training in the armed services. He comes up with some great drills. Top bloke too. Why do you ask?

ha ha!! I can imagine he would talk a good game!!

Not too sure about Chris yet. I haven't heard anything from him yet, but it could be a possibility. He is a top bloke, so that would be a loss for the club.

I have spoken to Packy and he said that he has had contact with the club. that's all. He said he's not sure about playing coz of workin longer hours and every saturday till 1.00 now. He'd like to stay at TTG but can't play B's. Too lazy to put in the hard yards to play div 1 a's. Would only go to elizabeth just to keep playing and have a kick, not take it so seriously either.

i now from reading previous years stuff that all is not true on these fourms stuff, but even half of it makes for good reading. Been trying to catch up with people since just before x-mas and they have been filling me in on the goings on at some clubs. Cant believe some of them are true but they are according to mates. At my comeback show, about 30 odd guys who I used to play with filled me in on a variety of stuff. Wow. All made for good reading since I been back. Dont have this stuff in the USA as they just play pro's and then nothing really in football. Basketball and Baseball are the same. No real amatauer style of games. Play Trippple AAA's in baseball and similar in basketball, but yanks not as passionate about there sports. The one big thing they love in the land of freedom, more lawyers, more lawyers, milk and honey - is that the College system is huge. Huge collegate system in all forms of sport. Nothing like that here

Guess that is only going to get worse now that Uni are in A2. Best news I have ever heard of. Did not know how Uni could go back there. That was the super bit of news when I got back. There is a god after all and Uni are in A2. Could not believe that it would bother two many peoples either. ha ha

And - got told about it from all of the boys about a new fool on these sites and after reading some of his stuff, what is he doing. Is this guy nomal. Who is this Andy24. Which planet did he arrive from. I see he is a Kilburnian boy as well, so I guess that explains it all. Spent a good day or so reading all fourms since getting back and this guy, my god, he is on some serious stuff. Can I please have some, PLEASE

Other than Uni getting relegated and a new forum village idiot in Andy 24: the other good news is Kilburn being relegated yet again to A3. How goods that. Uni and Kilburn in the one year. dont get much better than that does it.

and im that excited about getting back to the footy and adelaide, just rambling on a bit. Been ages you know you really dont now what you are missing when away for such a long time. hey nearly 6 months aint long but in footy its like an eternity.

Found about about Uni, Kilburn and the new Village idiot in Andy, which all makes for good reading.

But nearly as good to beat them all was the big boy Hodges getting rid of Place down at Seaton. Could not agree more with no mercy, the falcon chicky babe (she is still running the show by the looks), football magic and a host of others who all were wrapped in seeing the end of that huge fool in Place at Seaton.

would have taken a guy like hodges with enough tickeer to get rid of him and good on him. He was a liability to every one around him when we played Seaton and could not agree more with the falcon chick about him being arrogant and a pig. Would have let him get the parking ticket and not told him falcon chicky babe. We all knew when playing Seaton that they werent that good when PLACE was playing. Sure he kicked 3 a game but he gave up 5 goals a game by not chasing any defenders and standing their like a fat fool. he even used to abuse his team mates, runners, coaches, trainers etc, etc.

Is there any news on any other club taking a risk by having that fool playing for them. Surely no one would be that stupid by having PLACE playing for them. Good on hodges and people like falcon chick for backing up what was said on here. i for 1 agree entirely with him being given the big boot
