He will always be a leader at the club but probably could't be Skipper this year when he can't always train. I think Forry will do a grteat job. Strong leader, good player and has already been a captain in the higher grades. I wish the Haven lads the best of luck.

Cheers mate and yeah i think Leigh was a great choice for captain, the club has made the right decision in that regard.

Lodge beat Lutheran today by 97 points. One stage in the 2nd qtr it was 4-3 lutherans way before Lodge kicked 18 of the last 19 goals.

B grade Lutheran won by 7-8 goals. We were rubbish!!!!

Great oval to play on, enjoyable day.

Heccies over Haven by 72 points today. Well played heccies, they looked good and beat us well all over the ground, particularly in the midfield, smashing us at the clearances. Their Full Forward kicked 7-8 goals and played really well. Their midfield brigade played well aswell and was probably the differance.

We had some positives, our disipline was very good and we only gave away 2 25m plenties compared to about 15 last week. We worked hard all game and just run out of legs in the last quarter. Their fast start didn't help us. They kicked 7 goals to 2 (I think) to set the game up. We matched them in the 2nd and 3rd quarters I thought and then they over ran us far too easily in the last.

Watch out Lads, Heccies are a very good team and will push finals this year. They have some very good Key forwards and Midfielders along with some very good taller mobile players. Human blanket I thought you played well aswell, roaming round our forward 50 and getting a fair bit of the footy, well done mate.

Also well done to our B's another good win, thats now 2 in a row good work lads. Our C grade went down lost by 14 points I heard. I'll report more on the game later.

good write up mate, yep heccies will be up there this year, they would've kept almost 100percent of their grand final side last year and would have picked up a few, they do go under the radar which im sure they don't mind

that was quick demon nice work, think im 10 for 10 in tips :D
dogs to fit and classy for a very average smithfield dogs should have won by 10 goals with accurate kicking. the usual thugs u get with them were in fine form, and they wonder why they get a reputation but heres a tip being tough and hard is putting your head over the ball at all times not throwing punches cause your too fat and old to keep up. Plenty of improvement left in the dogs still 4 or 5 players to come in including j smith.

Well said!!

maybe remarks should be kept to yourself about opposition teams
doesnt take long for the egg to splat!

Rosewater have gone alot younger this year and ups and downs are going to be expected with the young lads
Not saying Rosewater are going to win every game but i think youll find they will be alot more competitive than round 1
Looking at the reserves scores there isnt alot of depth so that will also influence results if they get injuries.

Younger for the moment. Will the average age for the side jump by about four years after ANZAC day?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Good to see Shez named second best for Plympton. If he can stay on the track and gets used to playing footy again he should be the pick of Plymptons recruits this year.
