my end of season ladder at this point

premiers... Trinity=good well balanced team, well coached, good structures and a smart team with a good balance of smalls and talls, excellent depth

runners up...west croydon=good power forwards, good blend of smalls and well drilled.had no real injuries at this stage and this worries me because depth is shallow and with a couple of injuries can they replace them?

third...CLG=hard one but with so many injuries so far,a new coach they really havent had much luck.their players coming back are going to be fresh and they have been stung with the bagging.expect them to have a late charge but just to fall at the end

fourth...lockleys=young side who have been up for a long time but have played excellent footy.reason not higher is that this team will have to be managed well and dont think they have the person in charge to do this

fifth....Kenilworth just from a resurgent Paralowie=both teams are better than the rest and to be honest thats not hard

relegation...mitchell park and henley=easy really.ingle farm will survive and start the rebuilding for next year.the lions are gone and could end up in the c grades next year if something doesnt change drastically and henley to be honest prefer the easy life in div 7

just stabs in the dark but just my opion
second half will be very interesting with some big heads being put in their place and some quiet achievers on the march

You trying to line yourself up with coaching gig next year at Lockleys Dee Man?
Not the 1st time you have mentioned they arent managed well.

You always seem to keep a quiet eye on what's going on at Rutland Ave yourself Demonseye...?! ;)

by the looks of the selections nearly everyone has picked west croydon against trinity tomorrow
looks like people havent taken into account the weather conditions picked for tomorrow and the fact west croydon who have the two top power forwards in the division are not suited for these conditions
think if west croydon win tomorrow they can then be counted as premiership favourites
the trinity runners will really be suited for these conditions and will be a much better test than in round 1

dont agree about the weather as its not going to be pissing down..bit of rain just puts some mud on the ball and makes it easier to mark for a forward..they have a few other smaller forwards who can kick goals to..if they keep nourse tied down and watch a couple of trinitys agile forwards i can see WC repeating the first round win..why will TOS runners be suited by the conditions if its wet?..i thought skillful runners arent as productive in the wet where the game slows down to a degree? and i dont agree that WC have the two top power forwards either, they are a handful yes but..theres a guy called osborn who is above both of them..and mickan is no slouch from LFC..not as tall but still as damaging

good luck to all the teams this week..

since at this stage and seeing west croydons ground for myself, is far from a mud heap,it has always been well known that when slippery, forwards dont take as many marks, light feet across the wet slippery grounds are alot more stable than the bigger bodies.the bigger slower bodies and teams are more suited for the mud traps when everything is brought back to the one level and pace.as for discriptions of power forwards i was alluding to the fact that their size and strenght is second to none, typical 6foot 5" players, not as agile but pure strenght, not the tall agile forwards at lockleys.you cant put them in the same level because they play totally different roles.
as for the weather, foxtel is lying to me again saying rain will hit late today and remain with us till tuesday.

as long as the big WC talls bring it to ground, they have players like Birch and others who can kick goals.
West Croydon can get very muddy aswell so the bigger bodies may help aswell.

stubberfield aint 6ft 5..and osborn plays for kenilworth not lockleys and is well over 6ft tall and would be as strong if not stronger than bryant and stubberfield and maybe heavier..go and stand him one day..he is the in form premier forward of the competition..i always thought in the wet the so called "tough" teams with size and grunt do well but you say the TOS runners will benefit not WC who you rate as a straight ahead hard hitting attacking team that you like watching..i am slightly confused..so if it was a dry day you would favour WC even though TOS have great "runners" who you would imagine would like to play in the dry rather than the wet??? surely the TOS forwards can take marks as well?

my weatherman says 16 degrees with a possible shower..
