And here we go again. After a long and hard pre-season. Another season is about to get under way. It is a special weekend for the mighty Houghton Raiders as it will be the first time in the club's history to be fielding 3 sides. Well done to all involved in helping achieve this amazing occasion. With a lot of new faces at the club and with some inclusions of some very good players. It will be a very exciting year in which we hope to get all 3 grades into the finals this season. For the A grade it's about gelling together as a mighty force and showing other clubs were are a club to beckon with. For the B's. Well we have a record to uphold and continue on into 2019 and we have a title to defend so bring it on. And lastly for the C's. Good luck to the boys in the first C grade hit out against Marion. Can't wait for the bounce and bring on hopefully another successful year. Go the MIGHTY HOUGHTON RAIDERS!!!

Saw some of the game and it looked like the units believe in their own hype. Saw them train during the week and thought it must have only been their B grade squad. Clearly it wasn't. Was told they were missing a couple of their recruits but they will need more than two to be any force on their performance today.

Saturday was one of the biggest days I've seen at HDFC for a minor Round game. 3 wins, with the tightest being the C-grade victory over Marion.

Watched the last half of the Units v Lakes game, good contest ruined by some terrible umpiring.
Umpires must've left their yellow and red cards in the changerooms, will be interesting to see
If any club reports come out of the game.

Last kick in the game off the "A" Grade apparently. I think they where celebrating the win and forget to put the scores up. :D
