It has been confirmed that Craig Wilson (2010 Eastern Park B Grade coach) has been appointed A grade coach of Nth Pines with Steve Newchurch appointed B grade coach. The club is confident they will fill 2 sides this season and return to Div 7. As I said earlier all the best to the 2 blokes and the club.
Excellent appointment is Willo. Coached our B Grade to a flag a few years back, is an excellent motivator and loves his players. As long as the North Pines boys are willing to do the work, he'll be excellent for that club.

They should be very good at boxing lol i remember we used to do alot of boxing at training...

First training went well at Glenunga

We had about 40 faces out tonight for a run, with more expected to return next week and in the new year.

Morell considering you guys started training in October how have the numbers been now closer to Christmas? You found them to pick up or dropped off a bit?

I attended the first session and we had about 25 from memory. I am still struggling with my knee reconstruction recovery so I haven't been out much since then. I did go last week and we had about 30. Some old faces and some new ones.

We should be a stronger team than last year provided the majority of the side that beat Ingle Farm away and challenged West Croyden late in the season return and we add in some new A-Grade quality.

The one truism in football that I have learnt over the years is that you can never tell how you're going to go this far out from the start of the season. Players come and go, change their mind, get injured, come in and out retirement etc. I thought we were going to have an awesome year in our first year back in Div 6 after finishing 3rd in Div 7 and improving on that side with recruitment, only to get smashed by injuries and really struggle to finish 3rd bottom.

We have seemingly recruited some Edwardstown B Graders who should add some much needed depth to our A Grade list so its looking good so far.

Glenunga are spending again. Fitzroys 2nd Ruckman Mark Fuller is another Roy becoming a Ram in 2011. Will there be anyone left at Fitzroy?

I wonder what that means for the points system? It was my understanding they were close before... would they be over now?

No wonder Glenunga started early. Bourkey has been in a good paddock since the season finished. But with all these players he's recruited he could probably get away with sitting in a Forward Pocket all season eating donuts!

Ah ok, you would hope they aren't recruiting all these players to watch from the sidelines.

Not to worry, D6R medals are better ;)

Spending?

Gets your facts straight Jugs, Mark is on no individual money. You do get some info I've noticed, but its not always entirely accurate :P

First training was enjoyable on Tuesday night, as opposed to waking up stiff as hell on Wednesday morning :( Looking forward to the Christmas break....lol

How will Jooba? ( spelling ) go at North Pines. Will they have enough players for a second side? Didnt Jooba play the last few years in B grade at Paralowie? Wonder if he will take any of his teamates there?

Willow i have heard is a very good coach.
