I've been happy with the commitment shown by the boys so far but it is only November, the key will be to maintain it and take it into 2009....Recruiting is always a work in progress, we've spoken to a few blokes but time will tell.

What happened to Crusty, was the gig a bit tougher than he thought?

What about big Glen Troughton, surely he's not still running around too?

Crusty threw the towel in end of the year, i'm sure he has his reasons.

Big Glenny played a few games last year and still goes alright mind you....with his bro now coaching the B's hopefully he may stick around the club in some sort of capacity as he loves the lads and they enjoy having him around also.

Don't take my word for it but my understanding is the housing is behind the oval, oval will remain!

The Lodge have signed 6-8 new players already for next season, and suspect to lose 2-3 to EP.

by 'signed' do you mean signed a clearance to you, signed a contract to play for you or they've given you a verbal commitment for 2009?

Hard to say just yet. Majority are on board for next year. Had a new signing at the club on Sunday, forget his name, but will be more than handy for us. We have our first kick next Wednesday, will be good to stretch the legs.

I would've thought that was quite common knowledge.

Doesn't mean they are paying all or any of those EP players though.

I personally would be very surprised if any clubs dont pay players in some way, shape or form.

I guess it depends on if the payments people refer to are purly cash payments or if we can count drink cards or even waiving of footy fees for that matter or similar.

I think it was unrealistic to think that they'd come from Div 2 to Div 6 for nothing..

No confirmation but you would think Div 6.. 99% sure.
